The Blue Colts saw five different players get among the goals as they outclassed their opponents.
India started their SAFF U-15 Championship campaign with a 0-5 drubbing of Nepal in the opening fixture of the tournament at the Kalyani Stadium. Bibiano Fernandes' men were dominant right from the start and did not let their opponents settle throughout the game.
Head coach Fernandes was ecstatic with the result at the post-match press conference and applauded the efforts of his players. "I am proud of the boys and they deserve the credit. We are taking this tournament as a preparation for the AFC (U-16 Championship Qualifiers)."
When quizzed about the talent of his local players, the former India international sounded very optimistic with the potential in his ranks. "I expected them to play well and that is why they are with the national team. I am happy for them and hope we finish this tournament on a high note."
Speaking about the injury to defender Amandeep, Bibiano blamed the sultry conditions. However, he assured that there is nothing serious, as both teams suffered in the hot and humid conditions. "There is nothing serious, it's just a cramp because of the heat and the timings of food here and there. I don't think there it is anything to do with fitness, as both teams were suffering in these conditions."
The Blue Colts have been piling up the goals in recent games and even in this match, they had five different scorers. So, when questioned about his best attacker Fernandes said, "Sridarth has been scoring consistently, he has scored in every match and fingers crossed he keeps on scoring till the AFC.

The tactician will be hoping that the Blue Colts continue their good work as the tournament progresses as it will be crucial for him and the team to be ready before the bigger chalenges ahead.
