Frank Lampard is back!
Frank Lampard has returned to the Stamford Bridge as the club announced his appointment as their new head coach on a three-year contract on Thursday.
After earning Derby County their promotion to the Premier League, the Chelsea legend was in the round of talks to take over Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea. Sarri, on his own, was linked to a return to Italy as Juventus was keen on signing him.
Once Sarri joined the Old Lady, it was only a matter of time and negotiations for Lampard to become the manager where he earned such accolades.
The 41-year-old said, "I am immensely proud to be returning to Chelsea as head coach. Everyone knows my love for this club and the history we have shared, however, my sole focus is on the job in hand and preparing for the season ahead. I am here to work hard, bring further success to the club and I cannot wait to get started."
Barcelona keen to keep Coutinho
Barcelona do not want to sell Philippe Coutinho this summer, according to his agent Kia Joorabchian, as per Sky.
The Brazilian had suggested that he was facing an uncertain future following an average 18-month spell at Camp Nou.
And reports have since linked him with a move away to PSG, a part of a potential signing Neymar by Barcelona.
But his agent insists Coutinho will not be sold by Barcelona. "I talked a few days ago with Pep Segura at Barcelona," Joorabchian told RMC Sport. "He told me that the club does not want to sell Coutinho this summer, no matter what. We have not had any contact with PSG."
Ayoze Perez passes his medical
