The camp is intended as a preparatory camp for India's Intercontinental Cup campaign next month.
Midfielder Dhanapal Ganesh has been replaced by Vineet Rai, in the Indian National Team camp for the Hero Intercontinental Cup that commenced from yesterday (May 16, 2018) in Mumbai due to the former suffering from Typhoid.
Ganesh was an integral part of Chennaiyin FC's title-winning squad in the Indian Super League 2017-18 season. The absence of the 26-year-old will be a big blow to India in the forthcoming Intercontinental Cup, beginning next month.
The summoned players assembled for the Camp in Mumbai on May 16 while players from JSW Bengaluru FC will be reporting to the camp on May 18 after finishing their club commitments for the AFC Cup.
Meanwhile, you can check the rest of the squad here.
On the other hand, Vinit Rai has been an interesting prospect coming up from the ISL ladder for some time now. The 20-year-old displayed a string of impressive performances in the ISL this season, playing 13 games with an average passing accuracy of 85.49%.
Hosts India will kick-off their campaign in the inaugural edition of the Hero Intercontinental Cup at the new hub of Indian football, the Mumbai Football Arena on June 01, 2018 when Stephen Constantine’s men face Chinese Taipei, in a Tournament also featuring New Zealand and Kenya.
