You cannot win each and every game in this marathon league-Bastab Roy

Atletico de Kolkata tasted their first defeat of the third season of the Indian Super League (ISL), thanks to Mumbai City FC's marquee signing Diego Forlan. The Uruguayan struck a 79th minute winner against the run of play to stun the home side who had been doing much of the attacking in the second half.
The Kolkata franchise’s manager Jose Molina was given his marching orders for seemingly abusing the referee in the dying embers of the game and assistant coach Bastab Roy said that he was perplexed with the decision.
''We don't know the reason the coach got sent off to the stands. Only the referee and God know why he was given the marching orders,'' he said, addressing the assembled reporters in the Spaniard's stead after the game.
Roy expressed his belief that the result was unfortunate. ''We were unlucky today but we look forward from here on. As our coach had earlier said, ATK is that kind of a team who never looks back whether we win or lose. From here on, we look forward to do well in the NorthEast United match in a couple of days’ time,” he stated.
Furthermore, the former Mohun Bagan player explained that registering a victory in every fixture wasn't always possible. ''You cannot win every game in this marathon league. Winning or losing is a part of the game. We will go to the locker room and then discuss what went wrong altogether. But this loss is a wake-up call for us and we will be careful from the next fixture to not repeat the same mistakes which we did tonight,” he added.
The assistant coach thought that no errors were committed by the defense, even for the goal they conceded. ''There was no problem with the defense. The goal conceded was a deflection and defensively there were no errors,'' he explained. Roy cited Debjit Majumder's performance as one of the positives from the match.
