I can learn and get better- Philippe Coutinho
The attacking midfielder joined the German defending champions on loan.
Philippe Coutinho made his debut off the bench against FC Schalke last week This time around though, he played in the attacking midfield position behind Robert Lewandowski and left the observers in awe of his sheer brilliance and poise on the ball as they defeated Mainz by a margin of 6-1.
The Brazilian was arguably one of the best players in the Premier League before his exorbitant move to FC Barcelona in January 2018. The Catalan club had courted him for long and finally got their way with the player joining them midway through the 2017-18 campaign.
However, as Liverpool only progressed from thereon, Coutinho copped major flak for his persistence underperformance for Barcelona.
However, now Coutinho looks to commence a new chapter in his career with FC Bayern Munich.
“There are a lot of good players, top players and great players [here]. I'm really happy to be here so that I can learn from them and get better," he said.
The 27-year-old has delivered some neat performances for his new club so far. He is yet to complete the entire ninety minutes in any game so far, but has still managed to register a passing accuracy of 88% in the two matches.
Bayern’s manager Niko Kovac echoed the same thoughts in his post-match interview.
He said, “We want to build Philippe up and the opportunity presented itself here at home to put him in the starting line-up”.
“He had some good moments, especially on the ball. He played one or two really good passes in behind the defence and we created a great chance from one of them."
“We know he's not 100 per cent fit yet, so we planned to give him 60 to 70 minutes here. He'll regain his fitness by playing. I'm happy with his performance, but I know he'll improve."
The initial outings suggest that Coutinho would definitely progress in his quest to resurrect his career.

Philippe Coutinho will represent Brazil in the international friendlies during the two-week break before returning in Germany to face RB Leipzig in the next league encounter.
