The 19-years-old joined Borussia Dortmund in 2017 for £8m and has been a crucial player since then.

Jadon Sancho has had a snap back to the reality of sorts this season following his heroics in the 2018-2019 campaign. The English teenager has bagged five goals and nine assists so far this season. Not a bad return but his season has been marred by certain incidents both on and off the pitch that has put him in the bad books of manager, Lucian Favre.

Sancho, 19, was fined £86,000 and dropped for a game after failing to report back to his club on time after international duty with England back in October.

Sancho was then hooked off of the pitch just 36 minutes into the game by his manager in a 4-0 loss to rivals Bayern Munich.

Favre even went so far as to call Sancho out publicly, saying that he was not injured and that his performance was below par.

According to The Athletic, Sancho has been left feeling 'humiliated, scapegoated and unprotected by his employers.', as a result of these events.

The word from the camp is that they believe that the player is 'unfairly used to shoulder much of the blame' for Dortmund’s struggles this season.

The club currently lies sixth in the Bundesliga, five points off of the top spot. Their latest outing involved the men in yellow having to fight back from three goals down against Paderborn to earn themselves a draw.

The performance prompted club captain, Marco Reus, to publicly apologise to the fans on behalf of the players. Sancho ended that game with a goal and an assist to his name.

However, despite his positive performances, Sancho and those close to him are still said to find the substitution and the manager’s subsequent comments, disgraceful. The 19-year-old has been the subject of much interest from clubs all over the world in recent seasons.

According to The Athletic, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid remain interested.

Manchester City, the club Sancho left to join Dortmund is also said to be keeping tabs on his progress. However, the winger is said to not be looking to force through a move away from Dortmund just yet.
