Purple Women’s Empowerment, Turquoise Female Autonomy, Cream Gender Equality registered wins on Day 4 of the Discover Football Women’s Festival 2017 played at Duler Football Stadium, Mapusa Goa earlier today.
Purples hammered Crimson Mutual Consent 5-0 in the day’s first match. A brace from Shrutika Amle and a goal each from Acchima Begum, Candice Fernandes and Rhea Noronha helped Purples to register a massive win over Crimsons.
In the second match, Turquoise FA registered an easy 4-1 win over Silver Self Determination. Karishma Shirvoikar scored all four goals for Turquoise, while Vanshika scored an own goal to reduce the margin for the opponents.

The third match between Creams and Blue Bodily Integrity witnessed entertaining football from both the ends. However, Creams were the better side in the whole match with better possession and attacking potency. They should have taken the lead in the first session but Dhwani Kitchlue shot wide from the penalty spot. While Creams’ Tenzin and Usha were unlucky to see their strikes hit the goalpost but Usha scored the all-important goal in the second half and confirmed Creams' win.

It was a match which saw brilliant performances from both keepers. The Goldens’ custodian Vandana made some superb saves to deny Sushmita and Najwarg scoring from close. While Ebony’s shot-stopper Geeta Rani also denied opponents in the same fashion.
