We are in a period where it's a bit tough for us- Mauricio Pochettino after humiliating loss to Colchester
Star players Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen missed from the spot against EFL League Two side.
The Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur suffered an embarrassing penalty shoot-out defeat against Colchester in their EFL cup third round fixture on Tuesday. Responding on the humiliation, the Mauricio Pochettino insisted that his side is "unsettled" after the loss.
The 4-3 thumping on penalties by a four-tier league club is indeed a humiliation for a team which contested in the UEFA Champions League final just a few months ago.
It was a goalless draw at Colchester Community Stadium as both Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura missed from the spot. Talking after the game, Pochettino told to reporters, "When you have an unsettled squad always it's difficult and you lose time and then you need time to recover the time you lose."
"That's where we are. Maybe our performances are good but you need this extra, which is mental, connection, it's energy to be all together, not to have different agendas in the squad.

"We need time again to build that togetherness that you need when you are competing at this level."
"We are in a period where it's a bit tough for us but we keeping working to find a solution."
"They defended well but the difference in the level is there and we should have more aggressive in the final third. We feel disappointed. We had plenty of quality on the pitch but we didn’t find a way through to score."
"When this type of thing happens it's about staying clear and fresh and calm. We're trying to find solutions and we only need time," as reported by First Post.
"We lost the game by penalties and today was about winning. When you play at this stage. It’s not about the performance but the result."
