Ajax slap £123.47m price tag on young duo, Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs de Ligt
Both the players are currently in the radar of some top European clubs.
Youngsters Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs de Light are currently having a sudden rise in their football careers, with top clubs after their signatures. Now it has been revealed by Mundo Deportivo, that Ajax will sell the fair, if only the Dutch club received a total of £123.47m for the talented duo.
The report also states that the Eredivisie outfit value De Jong at £66.13m, while De Ligt is valued at £57.31m. The midfielder and defender are currently in high demand, and have come in the radar of top clubs like Manchester City and Barcelona.
19-year-old De Ligt has already appeared 13 times for the Netherlands, and has made 85 first-team appearances for Ajax. Meanwhile, 21-year-old De Jong has played four times for the Netherlands, and 22 Eredivisie appearances with seven assists.
According to several media organizations, it is speculated that Manchester City have already reached a deal for De Ligt, while the midfielder is poised for a move to the LaLiga.

According to many pundits, it would be beneficial to both the players if they spend one more season with Ajax, as they are in the main foray of the Dutch squad for the upcoming Euros, and a move away could prove to be an issue, as first-team chances could be reduced in their new outfit.
