The former Liverpool man has scored 24 goals this season.

The FA Cup final beckons us all!! Manchester City face Watford at Wembley Stadium, and could become the first team to win a domestic treble in England, having already won the Premier League and League Cup this season.

Ahead of the encounter, City and England star Raheem Sterling has said that he was a “massive” Manchester United fan as a kid, and seeing The Red Devils lose to Chelsea in the FA Cup final in 2007, was one of his first experiences as a United fan.

The 24-year-old has scored 24 goals for The Cityzens this season, and has been impressing fans and pundits alike.

According to Daily Mirror, the former Liverpool man said, “I shouldn’t really say this – not now, definitely not now! – but when I was young I was a massive United fan. I had an old United kit, from when they won the last FA Cup. I was at the final in 2007.”

He further added, “If two or three of the kids could be inspired, then that’s all I was trying to do. Purely, that’s how I felt at the time. If there was a kid who had a chance of being a footballer, hopefully, that will give them motivation or inspiration to change their dreams.”

Manchester City crashed out of the UEFA Champions League after losing to Tottenham in the quarter-finals, but wrapped up the League Cup, and Premier League. The latter was won at the expense of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, in what turned out to be an epic title race.
