Sadio Mane currently leads the pack with 16 points.

The first week of Premier League football was action-packed and filled with goals. However, it was also predictable with all the big teams managing to pull off easy wins. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham all came away from their fixtures with three points. Meanwhile, Manchester City managed to overcome Arsenal in a rather difficult first test. The promoted teams were disappointing with only Wolverhampton Wanderers gaining a point against Everton.

Gameweek 2 is beckoning; let’s take a look at the changes and additions you should make to your FPL team:

Gameweek 1 Review

This gameweek saw the emergence of full-backs, with 4 of the 5 top performing defenders being full-backs. The attacking-minded defenders dominated the forwards. Meanwhile, captain Mohamed Salah notched up a decent 16 points. The midfield did well, with Leroy Sane being an exception who came off the bench against Arsenal

The bench, however, had two top performing players in Ruben Neves and Aron-Wan Bissaka, both getting 12 points each. Although they didn’t feature in the starting line-up, they have immense potential to get more points over the course of the season. The strikers disappointed, with all three of them getting a combined total of 9 points.

Gameweek 2 Transfers

There are a few changes which can be made to increase the efficiency of the squad. Tim Ream is out with an injury and can be replaced by Jeffrey Schlupp. The Crystal Palace winger is listed as a defender and could get points for clean sheets. He also featured in the Dream Team of Gameweek 1. He is available for the same price as Tim Ream (£4.5). However, since he is facing Liverpool this week, it is ideal to wait one more week before making the transfer.

Another possible transfer is Andrew Robertson for Virgil van Dijk. The full-back has a bigger tendency to get assists.

The transfer that I am making this week is Dele Alli for Leroy Sane. Alli was impressive in his first game scoring for Tottenham. He is facing newly promoted Fulham this week and has a very high chance to score a good amount of points. Alli seems like a safe choice and guaranteed to provide returns. He is also cheaper then Sane; valued at £9.0 compared to Sane’s £9.5.

Gameweek 2 Line-up

The formation is unchanged. Dele Alli is the captain, as he is expected to have a very easy outing against Fulham. Leighton Baines is my vice-captain as the Everton full-back would be dominant against a toothless Southampton offence.

The squad also remains largely unchanged.  Dele Alli starts in place of the transferred out Leroy Sane. De Gea starts as the keeper, while Baines, Tarkowski and Virgil van Dijk make up the defence. Richarlison starts despite only having a 75% chance to feature in Gameweek 2. Captain Alli, Salah and Bernardo Silva make up the rest of midfield. Firmino, Arnautovic and Mitrovic start with Arnautovic especially expected to shine this week against Bournemouth. Both Ruben Neves and Wan Bissaka are on the bench as they have very tough fixtures this week. Mathew Ryan and the injured Tim Ream make the rest of the bench.

The highlight of Gameweek 2 will be Chelsea's fixture against Arsenal. Manchester City and Tottenham have easy matches on paper and you can expect their players to get a lot of points. Gameweek 2 has a list of entertaining fixtures that promises to keep the viewers enthralled. However, football is an unpredictable affair.
