Fantasy Premier League: Best XI for Gameweek 7

Harry Kane's value hasn't been justifying his points returns.

West Ham churned out the surprise of the week as they humbled Ole’s Manchester United with an impressive 2-0 win. Manchester City made short work of Watford thanks to an all-around performance, while Arsenal came from a goal down and a man down to win against Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspurs succumbed to dangerous Leicester at the King Power Stadium, while their London counterparts Chelsea fought hard but ended up on the wrong side of 2-1 result against a Liverpool side that is yet to lose a point.

Gameweek 6 Review- 68 Points

It was captain Kevin de Bruyne’s week. The Belgian had two assists and one goal in the 8 goal victory over Watford and this gave the midfielder 34 points.

Harry Kane’s lone goal for Tottenham gave him eight points while clean sheets meant seven and six points for Erik Pieters and Jamaal Lascelles respectively.

Hugo Lloris’ absence meant that Heaton’s two points were valuable. Sadio Mane, Daniel Ceballos, Joshua King, Tammy Abraham, and Patrick van Aanholt also got two points each.

Kyle Walker’s early substitution meant that his clean sheet points were dropped and the England international only got one point.

The team finished well above the average of 52 points.

Gameweek 7 Transfers

Harry Kane is a huge question mark for the season as his erratic form continues to trouble the team. Although he does occasionally gets points, he hasn’t been doing it on a scale that matches his value.

Roberto Firmino, Sergio Aguero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are all prime transfer candidates who can be brought in if the Englishman’s unpredictable form continues. He is granted a lifeline for this week. No transfers are done this week.

This week the team shapes up in a 3-4-3.  Southampton at home means that Hugo Lloris gets the nod ahead of Tom Heaton. Andrew Robertson, Patrick van Aanholt and Erik Pieters form the defensive trio with Lascelles dropped due to an away fixture against Leicester while a trip to Goodison causes Kyle Walker to move to the bench.

Sadio Mane makes the team, despite having only a 75% chance to play, due to the huge upside potential he brings. He is joined in the midfield by John McGinn, Kevin De Bruyne and Hamza Choudhury with Daniel Ceballos dropping out.

Harry Kane, Tammy Abraham, and Joshua King form the front three. The Chelsea striker is the captain for the week, while Harry Kane is the vice-captain.

Match of the week is at Old Trafford where Ole will look to get back to greener pastures with a win over Arsenal.  Chelsea are at home to Brighton while Liverpool face Sheffield United away from home. Goodison Park will welcome the rampant Cityzens while Southampton comes calling to North London to face a Tottenham side seeking redemption desperately.
