FC Bardez Goa U-20 and Dempo U-20 play out goalless draw in TACA League.

Both sides missed a clinical striker...
FC Bardez Goa U-20 and Dempo Sports Club U-20 played out a goalless draw in the TACA League at the Corps of Signals Ground in Navelim earlier today. Both the teams played well, but FC Bardez looked the dominant side as they had a lot of chances on goal. FC Bardez played with seven GPL players but still couldn’t find the back of the net and missed a clinical striker to convert their opportunities. In the 7th minute Kirtishes Gadekar got the ball outside the box and tried a shot but it was deflected off the defenders. Just two minutes later Ronil Azavedo tried a lob shot from outside the box, but the shot went over the bar. In the 10th minute Dempo man Shubert got a yellow card for a rash tackle on Lalbabu. On On 34 minutes Jesmon got the ball in the Dempo box, but was surrounded by defenders, he passed it to Latesh who in turn hit it above the goal post. Two minutes later Ivon crossed the ball inside the Bardez box Kiritikesh got to it, there were shouts for handball but the referee did not point to the spot. Four minutes after the break Jesmon crossed the ball in from the right flank Serineo got to it and headed it on but the keeper collected it. In the 57th minute FC Bardez got a free-kick 30 yard out, Latesh Mandrekar stepped up to take it and almost scored from it, luckily the keeper got it. In the 66th minute Dempo produced a lovely move as Jayson Lucas got the ball and crossed it inside the Bardez box, but there was no one to finish the move. Six minutes later Dempo got a free-kick and Caymen took it but there was no one to finish the ball. On 75 minutes Vincent went on a lovely run and tried a shot from 35 yards but it sailed over the crossbar. Into the last five minutes and Jesmon crossed in the ball for Manjunath Rathord who in turn chipped it over the keeper but saw his shot go just wide of the post. Three minutes into added time Vincent tried a shot on goal from 10 yards but it was straight at the keeper.. FC Bardez coach Climax Lawrence said after the game, ”I’m not happy with the result. We dominated possession again and had so many shots on goal but still we didn’t score.
