Fantasy Premier League: Best XI for Gameweek 2
A lot is expected from Harry Kane in their crucial game against Manchester City.
Manchester United and Manchester City got off to a high flying start as they comprehensively beat Chelsea and West Ham United respectively while giving away zero goals. Arsenal survived a stern Newcastle test in St. James Park thanks to an Aubameyang goal, while Tottenham had to come back from conceding early in the first half to see off newly-promoted Aston Villa.
Liverpool beat Norwich 4-1, kudos to a solid team performance despite goalkeeper Alisson leaving injured during the game.
Gameweek 1 Review - 61 Points
Captain Harry Kane led the team with a monstrous 26 points for his brace against Aston Villa. Anthony Martial got seven points while Kyle Walker’s performance earned him eight points.
Patrick van Aanholt got a clean sheet against Everton which gave him six points. Hugo Lloris got three points while Robertson, Wijnaldum, Lascelles, Joshua King and Raul Jimenez got two points each. Sadio Mane’s late substitute appearance earned him a point. The exclusion of Bernardo Silva from the matchday squad proved to be a big disadvantage but barring that the team did well.
Gameweek 2 Transfers
Georginio Wijnaldum is a potential candidate transfer candidate. His role has become deeper and therefore his contribution could be limited. Stuart McGinn of Aston Villa is a suitable choice. Chris Mepham is also a possible suitor for Jesus Vallejo who looks likely to feature-less in the Premier League and more in the continental tournaments. This week, however, no transfers are made.
Keeping Martial is a must
