Both sides are desperate for a win…
After a bad start to the season with just 4 points from 6 matches, FC Goa will have to try hard to get the full three points when they take on Delhi Dynamos in front of their home crowd at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, in the Indian Super League on Sunday. FC Goa manager Zico will be under tremendous pressure after defeat in the last match against Kerala Blasters and will do everything possible to get a win for his side as they cannot afford any more defeats from here on. While Italian coach Gianluca Zambrotta will be feeling the same as the Lions are winless in last 5 matches. In fact, no team has ever qualified for the play-offs after failing to win in five matches at a stretch. Team News Zico will most likely field the same team as the last match. However, influential midfielder Jofre is doubtful ahead of this one. But, Mandar Rao Dessai and Romeo Fernandes are expected to start. Pratesh Shirodkar, who was named “the Guar of the Match” in the last game is most likely to play in central midfield along with Trindade Goncalves. While the Brazilian coach might think of Rafael Coelho partnering Julio Cesar in the attacking with changed tactics and formation. Delhi Dynamos may be without a win five but manager Gianluca Zambrotta is certain to rotate his player as he has done in most games through the season. Head to Head The Guars have the upper hand over the Lions as far as the head-to-head is concerned. Dynamos have only one win over the Goa team, that being the 1-0 success in the first lef of the Semi-final last seasons. The Goans have scored 14 goals against the Dynamos, the most they have scored against any side. Man to Watch Pratesh Shirodkar - FC Goa: The local boy has proved his worth in the last two matches. The midfielder has brilliant ball control and pace to overlap opponents. He can be a threat to the Dynamos defence and also for their forwards as he also tracks back to support the defenders. Marcelo Leite Pereira – Delhi Dynamos: The Brazilian winger has played an excellent role with Delhi this season by scoring 3 goals and assisting 3 times so far. The 29-year-old has attempted the highest 15 shots out of which 10 were on target. With his pace on the wings, he can be a troublemaker for the Goan defenders. Probable Line-ups FC Goa (3-4-1-2)- Chowdhury, Gaikwad, Dumas, Gregory, Mandar, Pratesh, Romeo, Goncalves, Cesar, Richarlyson, Coelho . Delhi Dynamos (4-1-4-1)- Poirei, C'kraborty, Rocha, Edathodika, Addy, Moura, Nongrum, Singh, Malouda, Pereira, Gadze. Broadcast: The match will be telecast live on Star Sports 1, HD1, Star Sports 2, HD2, Star Gold, Star Gold HD, Jalsha Movies, Jalsha Movies HD and Hotstar.
