The Curchorem side once again scored in the last ten minutes to rescue a point.

Clinton Niasso’s dying minute goal helped Guardian Angel Sports Club to hold Panjim Footballers to a 1-1 draw in the Goa Professional League match played at Duler Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Angels coach Riston Colaco one again chose to go with the winning combination which helped them to grab all three points against Vasco SC in the last match, whereas Panjim gaffer Savio Vaz made two changes to his side which lost to Goan FC in the previous round match as defenders Joyson Fernandes and Akram Yadward found their names in the starting XI.

the match started with a possession football from both the ends as the same was restricted to the midfield play in the major parts of the session. However, Capital city side had a chance to take the early lead when Joel Colaco sent a through pass to Daryl Costa on the right flank who covered some ground before firing a powerful shot from inside the box but his strike went wide.

At the other end, Angels keeper Ozen Silva who made brilliant saves in the last match to keep his side against the Port Towners continued his form as he made a diving effort to push Panjim skipper Snedden Rodrigues goalbound attempt for a safety.

Whereas, Angels also came close to scoring in the 35th minute when Allwyn Vaz found Aslon Oliveira with a perfect low cross but the midfielder's weak strike was easily collected by Panjim custodian Massom Ali.

With just a few minutes left to the halftime, the Capital City side wasted another opportunity to surge ahead as this time U-20 Delton Colaco was fed by Joyson with a long floater in the box but the junior lad failed to beat Angels keeper from close.
