I am not happy with the way we played-Zambrotta
The Italian also asserted that he’s more than happy to continue with the Lions in the ISL…
After a convincing 5-1 win against FC Goa last Sunday, Delhi Dynamos FC today tasted their first ever defeat against the NorthEast United in match number 52 of Indian Super League Season 3. Commenting on the match the Lions head coach Gianluca Zambrotta said, “Today, we have played a bad game, we have done mistakes, it’s a low intensity game from us, lack of concentration, we have to learn from this loss. Of course I am not happy about we played today, NorthEast played with lots of intensity and we have to learn from today, because playoffs are to be very very hard.”
Being quizzed on whether he wants to continue as coach of Delhi for next season too, the world cup winner from Italy said he would be happy to continue in the ISL. “I have another year of contract with Delhi, if they decide to continue than I will be more than happy to continue in the ISL.”
Delhi with this loss remain second in the points tally with 20 points, which means another loss in their next match against league leaders Mumbai will see them pushed back to third or fourth position. He seemed concerned with this statistics. “It is very difficult to say now, because if we play like today in the next game we will defiantly be in fourth position, but if we play in a different way in Mumbai, we may go to the playoffs in a better position. So, it will depend upon the next game,” Zambrotta concluded.
