How Twitterati reacted to Igor Stimac's appointment as new India head coach
Several senior players welcomed the Croatian tactician and wished him luck and success.
Exciting times are coming up ahead for Indian football as recently the All India Football Federation (AIFF) appointed, Igor Stimac, as the new head coach of the national team.
The Croatian is tipped by many to achieve success for India with the huge amount of experience he brings along with him from Europe. The 51 year-old was once a Premier League stalwart with West Ham United and Derby County and later on also became the manager of Croatian outfit Hajduk Split.
Since being appointed as the new head coach of India, Stimac also announced the preliminary squad for the preparatory camp as the King’s Cup in Thailand is knocking on the door. The squad includes the likes of youngsters such as Sahal Abdul Samad, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Kamaljit Singh and Vinit Rai.
To the delight of the fans, the list also consists of newbies such as Jobby Justin, Brandon Fernandes and Michael Soosairaj.
