Ridiculous gaffes from the Delhi shot-stopper and two goals within five minutes in the first half assured the Highlanders their first win of the campaign.

The team hailing from the capital city, Delhi Dynamos shot themselves in the foot, committing serious mistakes against NorthEast United, in what was an exciting Indian Super League match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Delhi on Saturday. It was the early goals from Marcinho and Danilo Lopes, that ensured the visitors get their comfortable victory and rebound from the defeat to Chennaiyin  FC

The biggest action of the game was seen during the first half and the inexplicable errors from Delhi's shot-stopper Albino Gomes, and his defenders ensured the hosts had a night to forget.

Here is the list of the Indian players who played in the game and how they performed on the night.

Delhi Dynamos

Albino Gomes- 4.0

A part of the I-League winning Aizwal FC squad, Albino Gomes had a bad day at the office. The unforced glitches he made in the game underlined the fact that it was not his day. However, he did well to deny some of the attacks of the visitors in the second half, but that was not enough to atone his first-half performance.

Prathik Chowdhary- 7.0

A decent game for the former Kerala Blasters defender, Prathik Chowdhary stood firm at the back for the home side and his presence was crucial for Delhi as he helped them keep many of the attackers from the Highlanders at bay.

Pritam Kotal- 4.0

A dreadful day for the national team defender, Pritam Kotal's act was similar to that of his team's custodian. Known for his tenacious approach at the back and dynamic moves on the flanks, Kotal did nothing meaningful in attack nor in the defense. He made bloopers in the first half and one among them led to the Highlanders' first goal. Lions tactician Miguel Angel Portugal was forced to substitute him in the second half.

Munmun Lugun- 5.5

The 24-year-old defender had a moderate game for the hosts. Although, he failed to implement the plans well in attack, he was there to thwart the NorthEast attacks effectively, but was found floundering sometimes.

Vinit Rai- 6.0

Akin to that of Lugun, Vinit Rai also had a moderate game. He was unable to act as the linchpin for his side, but had been persuasive for his team to reduce the dominance of the Highlanders in the middle of the pitch.

Seityasen Singh- 4.0

He was marked tightly by the Highlanders and barely had time to showcase his presence in the game. He was provided with the balls, but the alarming presence of the defenders and their tight marking were enough to negate the talent in Seityasen.

Substitutes

Lallianzuala Chhangte- 5.0

Chhangte was deployed on his favourite left flank and Portugal expected that he would deliver the play for them. The youngster started the second half with some impulse, but was kept at bay by Nirmal Chettri.

David Ngaithe- 4.0

Came on in the second half, David was provided with pleasing crosses, but failed to convert them. Even though he was brought on to get goals for Delhi, he did nothing to slot the ball home past the Highlanders defense.

NorthEast United FC

TP Rehanesh- 9.0

Robust and indomitable between the sticks for NorthEast United, the presence of buoyant Rehanesh was influential for the Highlanders in denying the penetrative charges of the Lions. The goalkeeper's refuting the relentless attacks from the Dynamos' was indeed the reason for his team's victory.

Nirmal Chettri- 7.0

A pleasant game for the former Indian international, Niraml Chhetri did his best to keep the attackers hushed in his flank, and provided the team with not so paltry contributions in the central defense, and in the attack.

Reagan Singh- 7.0

Consistent on the left flank, Reagan Singh had a good game for the Highlanders. He muted the movement of Seityasen Singh which was pivotal to the flow of the game. He, however, was not extensively used by the coach to flourish in attack.

Rowlin Borges- 6.5

Borges, who missed the first two matches due to injury featured well against Dynamos despite being sluggish sometimes. His experience as a holding midfielder was used by his side extensively in the game, but his performance was not as dazzling as usual.

Seminlen Doungel- 7.0

A dazzling performance from this former Delhi midfielder, Doungel did his best to make the right wing dynamic and to mould some attacks. He was also there to assist the defense when necessary.

Holicharan Narazary - 9.0

Hero of the Match Holicharan Narzary

The best Indian outfield player on the pitch, Narzary had an incredible show against Dynamos. This 23-year-old Indian international ran riot on the left wing and was amongst those who made the Delhi defense stumble. His magical run, which paved the way for the first goal of the night was quite radiant and we could term it as his swift moment of the night.

Substitutes

Lalrindika Ralte - 6.0

Came into the play in the later stages of the second half, Didika was appointed to hinder the growth of the Delhi attacks from the middle and produce the outcome for the Highlanders from half chances.

Gursimrat Singh- NA

Didn't feature for enough time to receive a rating.
