The likes of Mohammad Nawaz and Daniel Lalhlimupuia put in poor performances.

FC Goa came twice from behind to squeeze past Delhi Dynamos FC, 3-2, in an entertaining Indian Super League fixture, played at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa. Bikramjit Singh opened the tally for the visitors in the 6th minute, while Edu Bedia canceled it early in the second half, but Delhi once again surged ahead through Lallianzuala Chhangte’s strike in the 70th minute. However, Brandon Fernandes came off the bench to equalise for the hosts, while Bedia scored in the last minute to snatch all three points from the Lions.

Watch: FC Goa 3-2 Delhi Dynamos highlights

Below are the ratings of the Indian players who featured in the game:

FC Goa

Mohammad Nawaz – 4.0

Though Goa’s forwards continue to score, the young keeper also continued to concede goals. The custodian had a poor match overall and made many misplaced passes due to which he could have conceded more goals, but the Delhi forwards failed to capitalize on his mistakes.

Mohamed Ali – 4.5

The defender who was sidelined in the last five matches, made his first appearance of the season, but could not make an impression on the pitch. Though he did not make many errors in the match, his two sloppy clearances could have damaged his side more.

Mandar Rao Dessai – 8.0

The skipper had a decent match where he contributed in both the departments. His speedy runs on the wing kept the pressure on Delhi’s defence and in one of these, he assisted Eduardo Bedia to equalize for his side with a fine cutback, while he also contributed to Goa’s second goal. He also helped his side with superb defending on the left flank.

Jackichand Singh – 4.5

Watch: Jackichand had a below-par night

The speedy winger could not do much with the ball in his feet, however, he was always at the right position to help his teammates in the entire time he played. Before making way for Brandon Fernandes in the 76th minute, he had one shot, four crosses, and an interception his name.

Seriton Fernandes – 7.0

The right-back played an important role to keep most of the opposition's dangerous attacks at bay, while he was also influential on the right wing making some darting runs on the flank and continuously penetrating the opponent’s defence. The wing-back made five tackles, two blocks and two important interceptions, which helped his side to limit the damage.

Lenny Rodrigues – 6.0

The defensive midfielder was average in the match. But, the local lad did not make any errors in the entire 77-minutes before getting replaced by Manvir Singh. He was also involved in some of the moves created by Bedia. Rodrigues also helped his last line with two blocks and one important interception.

Delhi Dynamos

Narayan Das – 6.0

The former FC Goa player was defensively solid during the first half. He successfully kept the likes of Bedia and Hugo Boumous silent. He even dealt with the overlapping runs of Seriton effectively. Got a yellow card for dissent.

Pritam Kotal – 6.0

The Dynamos skipper led his defence from the front. The right-back stifled the influence of Jackichand Singh to a huge extent. He was influential in attack, making overlapping runs that kept the Gaurs' defence on their toes. Pritam, however, should have done better to prevent the opposition's first goal.

Bikramjit Singh – 7.0

Opened the scoring with a belter of a shot from outside the box. Despite the Goan midfield controlling the ball, Bikramjit managed to capably pull off defensive stops, denying them any dangerous forays into the final third. Due to his and Marcos Tebar’s presence, the Gaurs were forced wide on numerous occasions. He was also decisive on the ball.

Lallianzuala Chhangte – 7.0

Watch: The Mizo lad had a solid outing

The Lions’ winger was a pivotal figure throughout the match. The 21-year-old was menacing with his runs and his hard work saw him score the second goal for Delhi. The young lad constantly troubled the Goan full-backs and also took six shots on goal. The Mizoram player, however, got a needless yellow card.

Nandhakumar Sekhar – 7.0

The winger was effective on the flanks. His pace and skill on the ball made him a constant threat to the Gaurs' backline. His tenacity saw him recover an almost lost ball and deliver a sublime backheel assist for Delhi’s second goal. He was however defensively negligent on several occasions.

Daniel Lalhlimupuia – 5.5

Watch: Daniel missed a glorious chance

The young striker was a lone figure for the majority of the match as the Goans dominated the ball. The Gaurs' centre-backs managed to restrict his influence. The forward got one glorious chance to give the lead back to the Lions in the second half. But, he failed to utilize the opportunity, putting his shot wide of the goal.
