The duo spoke after the final whistle at the Salt Lake Stadium.
Mumbai City FC and ATK drew 2-2 at the Salt Lake Stadium, in a game that saw two goals late in injury-time and plenty of entertaining action. The players must have been drained, but a couple of them, David Williams and Pratik Chaudhari, were courteous enough to speak to Khel Now in the mixed zone following the clash. David Williams said, “I think the players should have controlled this match, but they didn’t. I am not sure whether a draw was a fair result, but the two teams were fighting to win.” [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Williams had a stern opinion on the refereeing decisions. When asked whether the continuous fouls were a hindrance to the game, he remarked, “Yes, of course. They should be controlling the way the game is. If these fouls aren’t given then it keeps going on and on." “It is not about just this game, but nearly every game in the ISL that I have seen. So, the players do everything to prepare for these 90 minutes, the coaches do everything and it can just get ruined by something that is not in our power. Definitely the rhythm is messed up, but we can’t do anything about that now.” Pratik Chaudhari levelled for Mumbai City FC in the 62nd minute and went on to add his opinion. About the goal, he said, “Actually, it was amazing to score the goal. I was really happy when I scored. It is my first goal of my ISL career. Plus, most importantly, that equalizer was much-needed. So, I am very happy that I was able to contribute to help my team to be back in the game. But, it is okay. We got a point. We have to look back at the mistakes we have done and come back stronger in the next games.” Mumbai have now failed to secure a win in their last five matches and hence would be hoping to notch a victory against Kerala Blasters, when they return back to play at home on 5 December.Latest News
