ATK sign former Melbourne City midfielder Dario Vidosic
The 31-year-old was part of the Melbourne City squad that particiapted in Toyota Yaris LaLiga World tournament in India in 2018.
Ahead of next season, ATK have further strengthened their squad with the signing of Croatian-Australian midfielder Dario Vidošić. The 32-year-old is a versatile player who can play as an attacking midfielder as well as a winger and is expected to be one of the most important partS of Antonio Lopez Habas' plans.
The midfielder was also part of Melbourn City FC's pre-season squad to India last year in the Toyota Yaris LaLiga World in Kochi, where they played against the likes of Kerala Blasters and Girona FC.
Vidosic started his career in the A-League, signing a two-year contract with Brisbane Roar for the 2006–07 season. Following his stint, he had a successful spell with German club FC Nürnberg in the Bundesliga. In 2017, Vidošić joined Wellington Phoenix for a couple of months, before moving on to Melbourne City. This season he will be seen donning the ATK colours in the upcoming ISL.
In 2006, Vidošić was selected in the Australian Under-20 squad and competed in the 2006 AFC Youth Championships in India. In 2007, he played for the Australian U-23 team, in an Olympic qualifier in Adelaide, scoring the 11th goal in Australia's 11–0 win over Chinese Taipei. In 2009, Vidošić made his debut for the national team in their last World Cup qualifier against Japan.
“Dario is an experienced campaigner and a wonderful addition to the team. I am looking forward to working with him and creating a strong attacking midfield that will support the strikers ably,” ATK head coach Antonio Lopez Habas said.

Meanwhile, Vidosic becomes ATK's fourth overseas signing (sixth foreigner overall) in the transfer window this summer, following Carl McHugh, Roy Krishna and David Williams. The Kolkata-based side have been one of the most active teams in the transfer window, and are expected to be one of the most balanced squads in the league next season.
