Unbeaten Bengaluru FC take on Mumbai City FC at home
The Islanders are currently on a six-game winless streak.
Mumbai City FC will look to put an end to their six-game winless run, as they travel to Bengaluru to face the defending champions. Mumbai City have an impressive away record this season. However, they have been poor defensively and are vulnerable to Bengaluru's brilliant set-piece skills. Bengaluru FC returned to winning ways against Odisha FC in their previous league game and will look to keep the form going, as they face stern competition on their way to the top of the table.
Bengaluru FC are currently second on the table with thirteen points from seven games. The Blues face direct competition from four other sides that are eagerly waiting for others to drop points, so that they can grab hold of the top spot.

Bengaluru FC
The Blues managed to return with all three points when they faced Odisha FC, thanks to the side’s defence. But, the performance of the forward line was a bit alarming. Carles Cuadrat has been relying on set-piece conversions, as the forwards, barring Sunil Chhetri, haven’t contributed much to the team in terms of goals. Bengaluru FC have been shaky right from the start of the campaign and have relied too much on the back four. The team have managed to score more than one goal on just one occasion against Chennaiyin FC, when they won 3-0.
Bengaluru FC will be hoping for nothing less than three points, as they have already dropped important points due to stoppage-time equalizers on two occasions. Cuadrat will expect the attackers to step up and notch a few goals, as the Blues return to play in front of their home crowd.
Mumbai City FC
The side won their opening game against Kerala Blasters, have failed to register a win ever since. They are currently eighth on the table, with just seven points. Mumbai City have an impressive record away from home this season and are desperately looking for a victory to put aside their winless streak.
Jorge Costa’s team has been very poor defensively and have conceded four goals in a match on two occasions. Mumbai City need three points to get away from the bottom half of the table and put their campaign back on track.
Team News
Bengaluru FC
Bengaluru FC’s new signing Manuel Onwu has been out for four games owing to injury and still seems to be recovering from it, Cuadrat is expected to have the rest of the squad fit and ready to choose from.
Mumbai City FC
Jorge Costa has a full squad to choose from and the side currently have no injury concerns.
Head-To-Head
Both sides have faced each other on four occasions, Bengaluru FC have won twice and Mumbai City FC have just one victory.
Man To Watch
Udanta Singh (Bengaluru FC)
The under-fire winger often turns up unexpectedly and when the team needs him the most. Udanta has been inconsistent so far and has been under-performing. A return to the fortress and a familiar pitch to wreak havoc on, the stage is set for the youngster to turn up.
Amine Chermiti (Mumbai City FC)
Undoubtedly, Mumbai’s best player this season, The Tunisian has been an asset to Costa’s side so far and is expected to lead the attack against Bengaluru’s solid defence. The striker has managed to score four goals in seven games and is the team’s top scorer in the league.
Probable Lineups
