ISL champions Bengaluru FC to start Soccer Schools centre in Ahmedabad

The grassroots programme will provide football coaching for children between 5-16 years of age.
Indian Super League champions Bengaluru FC announced on Friday that its newest BFC Soccer Schools center will soon be functional at the Adani Shantigram Football Ground, in Shantigram, Ahmedabad.
With 14 functional centres in Bengaluru and their recent tie-up with Sporthood taking their reach to over 35 centres in the city over the coming weeks, Adani Shantigram will be the first venue outside Karnataka to have a BFC Soccer School.
“We’re really proud to announce our first center outside Karnataka, at the Adani Shantigram Football Ground. During the Summer Camp earlier this year we had classes in Mangalore, and the move to Gujarat highlights another step towards harnessing the talent from outside Karnataka. We hope to be able to identify children with potential and add them to our academy in the coming years through BFC Soccer Schools,” said Naushad Moosa, the club’s Head of Youth Development.

Beginning on June 4, 2019 classes will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 6 and 7 pm for children between five and sixteen years of age.
