A content Jorge Costa addressed the media following a decent result for the Islanders.

Assessment On The Game

The Mumbai City head coach expressed his thoughts on the game by saying, “We had enough chances to score against Chennaiyin, but unfortunately there was no goal. Irrespective of the result, it was a difficult game for us, our second game away from home and second game in less than three days. We fought throughout the game and four points in two games is not bad.”

Being On Top Of Points Table

The Portuguese tactician went on to add, “This is a good start for us. Picking up four points before the series of home games and unlike last year, we had one point in the first few away games. We are now ready for the home games coming up.”

On Facing Injury Crisis

Mumbai City FC’s star player Modou Sougou withdrew from the game in the 28th minute due to an injury. The Islanders already have Anwar Ali and Mato Grgic sidelined and speaking on this matter Jorge Costa said, “It’s very unlucky for us. I don’t know how big is Sougou’s injury and Mato Grgic is out for 4-5 weeks. It is going be a tough period for us,”  he concluded.

Mumbai next host Odisha at Mumbai Football Arena on 31st October.
