The ATK boss also revealed that he feels Jamshedpur FC's current form is the result of injuries to important players.
ATK completed a 0-3 victory against Jamshedpur FC and are currently at the top of the league table, on account of a better goal-difference in comparison to FC Goa. Roy Krishna bagged a brace and that propelled the Kolkata side to a win on Sunday night. Following the game, ATK head coach Antonio Habas interacted with the media in the post-match press conference.
The Spaniard laid forward his initial thoughts about the game as he said, “No, I think we had a fantastic performance in defence; fantastic performance, then you have the possibility to attack well. We only concede one goal in six matches. It’s very important for us because they are a big team.”
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]As they are placed atop the points table currently, Antonio Habas was asked about his plans going ahead in the season. The 62-year-old stated, “The plan is match-to-match; the next match against Odisha. This is the objective and target. I don’t want to think more time. I want to think only Odisha and after that we have to think playoffs and everything.”
The ATK boss was quizzed regarding whether he thought Krishna is the main factor behind the good performances of his team. “I always talk about the collective behavior, no one player. He is an important player for us,” Antonio Habas remarked. “He is a good player for us. He is a fantastic player,” the tactician added.

The Men of Steel are now languishing in seventh spot in the points table. When asked about where their opposition is lacking currently, Antonio Habas opined, “I think Jamshedpur are lacking because they have their players injured in the second part of the season. They don’t have this player, Piti, another player important to them. I think Antonio Iriondo is a good coach and Jamshedpur is a good team also.”
ATK would be hoping to hold on to their first position until the end of the league season. They have a five-day break and will face Odisha FC at the Salt Lake Stadium on February 8 in their next game of the season.
