The former Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers head coach has the challenge to turn around the season for Marina Machans.

New Chennaiyin FC head coach Owen Coyle spoke to the media ahead of their away match against Jamshedpur FC on 9th December 2019. It will be the former Burnley manager’s first game in charge of his new club. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Owen Coyle claims that he is happy to be here and up for the challenge. “I think the club has a very good history. They have been champions before. After being champion it was a disappointing season last season and then obviously it has been a relatively slow start I would suggest given the standards of the club. But that being said I think there is plenty of time to change that.” Owen further added, “I think the club has a good squad and this season, I think there has been a lot of draws. So I think that if you can get momentum and get a few wins back to back it can catapult you up the league.” The new Chennaiyin manager claims that his team can still make the playoffs. He said, “It is not insurmountable because the gap is not in terms of number, is not a huge deficit. It is surmountable that gap but to do that, you have to win games." "When you can get those three points and get them back to back of course it pushes you up the table. We have to make sure that slowly but surely we are building." [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] On The Opponents' Threat “I am looking at my opponent knowing that they are very good players and a very good team. They have some very good individual players. We are very respectful of our opponents because they have great quality and we will pay them our respects." "But we don’t come in fear. We come on respect in understanding how good they are but believing that if we at our very best tomorrow then we can win the game. But we have to be at our best. Anything less than that won’t be enough because of the quality that they have” Chennaiyin FC are currently second from bottom with just one win in six matches and it will be a tough job for Owen Coyle in his first game against Jamshedpur.
