Jamshedpur FC1 - 1Chennaiyin FC ISL 2019-20

FULL TIME!! It all ends square at The Furnace yet again. It can be said that it is a fair result for both the sides who were quite evenly matched on the night. Late drama strikes yet again in the ISL where the visitors must be feeling gutted for squandering several chances to extend their lead and secure all three points. 90 + 5' Firtulescu is down on the ground, holding his shoulder in some discomfort and is carried out of the field on a strecther. 90 + 3' The momentum is with the hosts here after the equaliser. Will the visitors hold on for a point here? 90' Six minutes added time have been announced by the fourth official. Is it enough time for a winner in this contest? Meanwhile, Lucian Goian has been shown a yellow card for a cynical foul on Farukh. 89' GOALLL!!! Issac's shot apparently strikes Farukh in the box and is deflected past Kaith into the back of the net! It's 1-1!! 87' Three minutes plus stoppage is all that's left for the Men of Steel to salvage anything here and avoid a first defeat at home in the campaign. 83' SUBSTITUTION Crivellaro is taken off by Owen Coyle here for Dragos Firtulescu. 80' CLOSE!! Chhangte again disappoints with his crossing after he fails to find Valskis in the box which could have put this game to bed. 77' Thapa is down now for the visitors and is receiving treatment from the medical staff. Time is running out for the hosts here. Meanwhile, Thoi Singh is replaced by Andre Schmebri. 74' Thoi Singh looked to have pulled a muscle there but is carrying on for the moment. 71' Aniket struck well with a volley from a corner but the ball is deflected away and the resulting corner is safely dealt with by the CFC defenders. 70' BRILLIANT SAVE! Kaith stretches to guide the ball to a corner after Issac attempts to chip the ball into the top corner from left side of the box. Meanwhile Saighani makes way for Germanpreet after hurting his groin muscles. 68' Crivellaro weaves past a defender but takes too long to release his shot from outside the box which is deflected past the goal line. The resulting corner is safely dealt by the defenders. 65' Tiri again stands tall before Valskis and preventing him from finding himself on the end of a cross from Saighani. 62' SUBSTITUTION Jamshedpur make their final change of the night with Vineeth making way for Isaac Vanmalsawma. Meanwhile JFC get a corner after Kaith punches away a deflected effort from Jadhav. 58' Monroy plays the ball to Vineeth whose control on the ball lets him down and the Chennaiyin defence is quick to snatch the ball before he could get a second try to take a shot. 55' Farukh Choudhary is now operating from the left flank with Aniket Jadhav taking his position on the right. 52' Chhangte does well by tracking back and using his speed to prevent an advancing Gurung from delivering a cross inside the box from the right flank. 49' YELLOW CARD! A bad tackle from behind earns Crivellaro a yellow card. 47' Aniket Jadhav has been brought on by Iriondo in place of Mobashir Rahman. 46' SECOND HALF COMMENCES! Referee Crystal John whistles to get us underway for the second 45-minutes here at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. HALF TIME!! The visitors go in the break with a goal advantage thanks to Valskis' strike. However, the game is still hanging in balance and the hosts will look to change the complexion of the game in the second 45-minutes. 45 + 1' Chhangte is played in space by Valskis but his right-footed shot is weak and safely collected by Pal in the goal. 44' Jamshedpur are heavily reliant on their right wing and dependent on Farukh to create something for his side. However, this one dimensionality is becoming predictable for the Marina Machans to deal with. Fourth official has announced two minutes added time in the meantime. 41' Farukh threatens again with a decent cross inside the box, but the ball is collected by Kaith. JFC are certainly missing Castel's presence inside the box to get on the receiving end of these crosses. 38' CLOSE! Farukh finds space on the right flank after being fed in by Monroy, but the cross is blocked by Sabia with Passi lunging in with him. 36' Injuries are piling up on the Spaniard gaffer of the Men of Steel with Acosta now joining both Piti and Castel on the sidelines. 33' YELLOW CARD Masih Saighani is shown the first booking of the night with a cynical pull back on an advancing Acosta who has apparently dislocated his shoulder from the fall and has been replaced by Jitendra Singh. 29' Antonio Iriondo will be livid with his players for allowing the opposition striker so much time on the ball in the box. JFC further lack any attacking intensity without Piti and Sergio Castel, with Farukh cutting an isolated figure on the field. 26' GOALLL!! It's Valskis yet again, who finds himself with room inside the box after Crivellaro's through ball, and the striker calmly slots the ball past Subrata into the left bottom corner to send his side into the lead! It's 0-1!! 23' There has been a dearth of clear goal-scoring opportunities at The Furnace, which has dampened the atmosphere inside the stadium for now. 19' Robin Gurung is getting treatment by the medical staff after injuring his knee in a coming together with Saighani. He seems to be fit enough to continue. 16' Exceptional defensive work from Tiri who lunges and clears a cross from Chhangte which was heading straight to Thoi and could have led to the opening goal. 13' Vineeth squanders a good crossing opportunity from the right flank after finding himself behind the full-back and in loads of space. 10' Chhangte gets another chance to deliver a dangerous cross inside the box from the left flank, but his ball is straight into the hands of Subrata Pal. 7' It has been a nervy start from both the sides who are finding it hard to combine more than a handful passes before losing possession. Meanwhile, JFC get their first corner of the night which is easily cleared by Sabia. 3' An early chance for the visitors to deliver a cross in the box but Chhangte's effort is blocked by Memo and the resulting throw has led to the first corner of the game, which bears no fruit for CFC. 1' KICK OFF!! Antonio Iriondo is expecting a good fight from Marina Machans The Spanish gaffer said, “We are looking forward to a good match and we’ll try to get the victory against Chennaiyin tomorrow. We expect the game to be tough because we don’t know how they will play. They’ve got a new head coach so we’ll try to manage to dominate and hopefully get a victory.” Owen Coyle insists that he can win on his debut “I am looking at my opponent knowing that they are very good players and a very good team. They have some very good individual players. We are very respectful of our opponents because they have great quality and we will pay them our respects.” “But we don’t come in fear. We come on respect in understanding how good they are but believing that if we at our very best tomorrow then we can win the game. But we have to be at our best. Anything less than that won’t be enough because of the quality that they have”
