The interim head coach insisted that it is the team effort that has got the Gaurs this far.

After a thumping 0-5 win over Jamshedpur FC, FC Goa have ensured that they will finish as the leaders of the league phase of the ISL and also sealed AFC Champions League group stage qualification for next season, becoming the first Indian club to do so. Interim head coach Clifford Miranda was delighted at the post-match press conference. [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] When quizzed about the feeling after accomplishing a big target and being the first Indian club to do so, Miranda was quick to acknowledge the people who have worked hard and provided support to the Gaurs. "It is a great feeling. It was the objective of the club to reach the Champions League this season. Credit goes to the club, management, technical staff of earlier with Sergio (Lobera) and also now with Derrick (Pereira), the players and not to forget the fans. Everyone associated with the club deserves it." Speaking about his thoughts on how the game panned out Clifford Miranda emphasized on how Jamshedpur were free of pressure, as this was their last game of the season and considered it as an even match till the hour mark. "Despite the scoreline being 0-5, it was a very difficult game for us. Infact, till the 60th minute it was an even game. Jamshedpur were really strong, as they were playing their last game and there was no pressure. It was a balanced game. Then we got the second goal and in quick succession we got the third and fourth. Then the match tilted in our favour." [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Article Continues Below"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] Goa have been the most consistent side in the ISL from last season and they've overcome every barrier that has come in their way to play the brand of football they believe in. Jamshedpur head coach Antonio Iriondo felt that the Gaurs had some great players and lauded their individual talents. But, Clifford Miranda did not concur, emphasizing rather on the team effort as the main mantra behind their success. "We have got some good individual players, but it is a team effort. We have a great team which is together for a long time, for the past three years. Individual players do make a difference like we have (Ferran) Corominas, Hugo (Boumous) and so many fantastic players out there in the game, but in the end we are a team. We play together and what took us this far is team effort," concluded Clifford Miranda.
