The Highlanders are one of the two unbeaten teams this season.
NorthEast United manager Robert Jarni talked to the press ahead of their away match against Jamshedpur FC. Jamshedpur, who are third in the table, take on NorthEast who occupy fourth place. Speaking to the media, coach Robert Jarni claimed that he was wary of the threat of Jamshedpur FC. He said, “For me they (Jamshedpur FC) are a team who have very good balance between the defence and attack. For me, they are the best team in India at the moment. I know this is a very difficult match for us. But, we prepared very good and we want to win.” [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Expectations From Season
“What happens in the future nobody knows, but we will try to give everything and it’s possible to win all the games and go in the final.” The NorthEast manager believes that VAR could be a good inclusion to the league. He opined, “For me it (VAR) is very good. Because things happen on the pitch and it is very difficult for the referees to see everything.” Jarni further added that he was happy with the standard of the referees in the ISL. Accompanying the Highlanders’ coach was winger Panagiotis Triadis. Triadis spoke about how he was impressed by the professionalism and the infrastructure of the league. The player said, “I have been playing in Europe all my life and coach (Robert Jarni) was there as well. I think it is difficult to compare it to Europe. But, speaking about general infrastructure and professionalism, I have nothing to complain about." The stadiums are filled with fans. The camera team and all the angles are very professional. I think they have done a great job. Of course, they can improve a few things. But, it’s only the sixth season, so with more time and more experience this will come as well.” NorthEast United are yet to be beaten this season. Winning two and drawing three of the five matches they have played.Latest News
