The Portuguese tactician also mentioned that he is happy with the performance of Raynier Fernandes.
It was another forgettable evening for Mumbai City and Jorge Costa, as FC Goa comprehensively outplayed the Islanders. The Gaurs established a two-goal lead at half-time. But, Mumbai City rallied to even the scores through Sarthak Golui and Souvik Chakrabarti.
However, FC Goa immediately retook the lead through Hugo Boumous, before Carlos Pena made sure that the visitors returned home with all three points.

Although, the scoreline was similar to the Islanders' last game against Odisha, the effort and mentality of the Mumbai team was very different. Jorge Costa saw the difference, but the Portuguese conceded that results are important as well.
"We worked hard. We played good against a very good team. In my opinion, one of the best teams in India. We ran a lot. We had a lot of chances to score. (FC Goa was a) different game from Odisha. We came back from 0-2, but immediately we concede a goal," the Mumbai City head coach began.
Thoughts On Raynier Fernandes
Raynier Fernandes' performances have caught the eye of the national team and the midfielder has been called-up to the national camp. Jorge Costa was pleased with the lanky midfielder's outing against FC Goa on Thursday night.
"He is doing his job. I'm happy with him. I don't like to speak about individual players, but I know he is doing his job," Jorge Costa opined.

Despite practicing to the best of their abilities after the defeat against Odisha FC, silly errors ended up costing the match for the Islanders. Three set-piece goals decided Mumbai City's fate.
"All the eight goals we conceded at home over the last two games, with all respect for Odisha and Goa, I think were gifts from us. I worked on defensive set-pieces this week. They knew what to do, but they didn't do it. I believe they want to do it, but they cannot do it," the 48-year-old concluded.
