The Tunisian has scored a goal and notched up four assists in nine games so far this season.
Mumbai City FC could part ways with star midfielder Mohamed Larbi over differences on contractual terms with the player, Khel Now understands. Mohamed Larbi was one of the high-profile signings made by the club as a part of the new-look side for the ongoing season. Unfortunately, his journey in India may be over sooner than expected. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Khel Now understands the player and the club are not on the same page as far as the terms of his contract are concerned. The Tunisian signed on a short-term deal in the summer, with a view to further extending his stay by the end of the year. However, sources have confirmed that both parties are yet to come to an agreement on the same. It is learnt that the Islanders remain keen to retain the midfielder's services at least until the end of the current campaign, but that now seems unlikely. Mohamed Larbi has been one of the mainstays for Mumbai City this term, netting one goal and setting up four others for his teammates. The Tunisian has been a consistent performer for the Islanders, in what has been a mixed bag of a campaign so far. Mumbai City are currently fifth in the Indian Super League table, with 13 points, similar to fourth-placed Jamshedpur FC, who are only shy on goal-difference. Crucially though, Mumbai have a game in hand over their rivals for the playoffs spot. They are unbeaten in the last five games and also went on to win their last two against Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC away from home. Mumbai City are set to host Hyderabad FC on Sunday and they will hope to improve their home record this season, after salvaging a solitary point in three games so far. The game could turn out to be the farewell of the Tunisian midfielder.Latest News
