The Blues have conceded the least number of goals so far this season.

A total smash and grab affair in this season's Indian Super League at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati as Bengaluru FC ran away with crucial three points, courtesy of a 0-2 win over NorthEast United. A very cagey match with few chances was settled by a second-half penalty from Sunil Chhetri which shifted the tide in Bengaluru's favour as NorthEast United missed Asamoah Gyan in attack. However, Albert Serran's goal in the 81st minute from Erik Paartalu's exquisite cross blocked all pathways for NorthEast United to make a comeback in the game. WATCH: Match Highlights: NorthEast United 0-2 Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC overtake FC Goa to the first spot for time being as NorthEast United are gradually slipping down from the playoff spots. Here are the Indian Player ratings from NorthEast United vs Bengaluru FC game: [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

NorthEast United FC

Subhasish Roy Chowdhury - 5.5

The veteran goalkeeper looked very indecisive with his outings throughout the game. Although Bengaluru FC failed to take their chances. Subhasish looked nervous when called in for action. He hardly had any say in the penalty Sunil Chhetri scored.

Reagan Singh - 6

Reagan struggled in the early part of the match, especially against Ashique's strength and pace. He simply kept him occupied for most of the first half, keeping his attacking side in check. His performance improved in the second half but till then the Blues already had the grip of the game.

Nim Dorjee - 6

The young defender looked unconvincing in his first match of the season. He hardly produced anything while moving forward and acted more of a pseudo third centre back at times.

Lalthathanga Khawlhring - 6.5

If the NorthEast United midfield is working, then you know Puitea is having a good game. The Mizo midfielder has been a silent performer for the Highlanders this season. Once again he supported Leudo and ventured forward whenever he had the chance and combined well in the final third. However, had a contrasting second half and faded out of the game as the time passed by.

Redeem Tlang - 5.5

An off day at the office for Redeem and he needs to get his goalscoring boots back as the Highlanders are starting to slip down. Redeem had a decent start to the game, combining well with Lalengmawia. But as the game went on, he failed to break the Bengaluru defence. He was also adjudged to handling the ball for which the visitors were awarded a penalty. The incident shattered his confidence for the rest of the game. Lalengmawia - 7.5

The U-17 India international made his ISL debut and was pretty sound with his passing. He dropped deep and helped Leudo and Puitea in midfield which allowed Triadis to drift wide and stretch the Blues defence. His confidence and ball control looked like a seasoned player and if he keeps up with this performance, he has a huge career ahead.

Substitutions

Ninthoinganba Meetei - 5

The youngster came in for Redeem Tlang and had a silent outing in the time he had on the pitch.

Provat Lakra - 4.5

Came in late in the game but as he started settling, Bengaluru scored the second against NorthEast United after he completely left Albert Serran unmarked in the box. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

Bengaluru FC

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu - 7

The India international has been in great form this season as he added another clean sheet to his name. Gurpreet had a more or less comfortable outing against the Highlanders. He closed down Triadis swiftly in the first half which was the most notable chance the hosts created throughout the game.

Rahul Bheke - 6.5

Looked shaky in the early stages of the game with Triadis twisting and turning on the left flank. Although the Highlanders did not test him enough, he gradually settled in the game and had a healthy tackle success rate with five out of seven tackles on point. He also had four clearances and two interceptions to his credit.

Nishu Kumar - 6.5

Was better than his counterpart as he kept Redeem at bay, the 24-year old did not have much impact in the game. Nishu wasn't exceptional but made sure he played his role with complete honesty. He had good passing accuracy with 79% and also got six blocks and four clearances to add to his tally.

Harmanjot Singh Khabra - 6.5

The birthday boy had another tireless match against NorthEast United. Although the hosts controlled the game in the first half, Khabra made sure that he did not create many openings as he broke up play sitting deep and handled possession. He kept a decent 87% passing accuracy.

Udanta Singh - 6

With all the pace and trickery he brings to the table, Udanta lacks big time in the final third. Be it decisive passing, decision making or capitalizing the chances that come his way. He missed a howler in the first half. He had a decent second half but did not get the chance to redeem himself for the first half miss.

Ashique Kuruniyan - 6

Ashique Kuruniyan had a decent outing against the Highlanders especially with his darting runs forward. The India international showed tremendous work ethic and kept Reagan busy. However, he once again failed to score from a neat pass from Chhetri. He was subbed off at halftime. [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]

Sunil Chhetri - 7.5

Sunil Chhetri has a lot of layers to his game, if the goalscorer does not turn up then the creator will, or else the workhorse. He troubled the opposition defenders as he dropped deep, combined well with Dimas Delgado and also drifted wide on the left stretching the Highlanders' defence. He made no mistake in scoring from the spot as he created two chances and had three shots on target.

Substitutions

Thongkhosiem Haokip - 6.5

Haokip had a lengthy outing today, considering the other bench appearances he had this season. However, he did a decent job in running behind the NorthEast defence and earning fouls which allowed the Blues to take advantage of the setpieces.

Suresh Singh Wangjam - NA

Replaced Udanta Singh in the last few minutes and did not have time to leave a mark on the game.

Gursimrat Singh - NA

Came in late in the game for Sunil Chhetri to allow him a breather.
