Read Full Match Report: Odisha FC and ATK share spoils after goalless draw Read Indian Player Ratings: Odisha FC vs ATK Ratings: Shubham Sarangi impresses in dull fixture Read Odisha FC Post Match Press Conference: Josep Gombau: Satisfied with the team, not the result Read ATK Post Match Press Conference: Antonio Habas: I am happy to take one point tonight FULL TIME:  Ah, a game that started with so much energy and intensity should really not have ended on such a note. Both teams emanated confidence, exuded some pressure to each other and looked keen to get one over the other at least in the first half of the game. However, the wheels just seemed to have come off in the final forty five minutes and Odisha succumbing to such bouts of pressure exerted by ATK did not make up for a pretty display eventually. Both managers would have wanted more from this game; the points and the quality of the performance, too. Well, a goalless game wasn't something that we wanted to watch on a Sunday evening. But, that's what football is all about, isn't? Surprises, thrills, sometimes drab, sometimes ugly, sometimes dull but always takes out our excitement nevertheless. Hope you had as much fun reading about the game, as I, Tarkesh Jha, had watching it and putting them into words for you all. Until next time, take care and wish you all a good night too! Tada.. 90+3' Seems like the wasted headed effort has gotten to Garcia's head now.  He argues relentlessly with the referee and the latter has had enough and issues a yellow card to the forward and even Diagne for dissent maybe. ATK have taken three corners so far, the first one being the best of the lot though. Rane raced ahead to earn a third corner after the second one but Arshdeep manages to keep his calm, keep his composure and a brilliant temperament to make sure that ATK do not run away with three points that too in the dying embers of the game. 89' EDU GARCIAAAAA...nah, not happening ATK have played some of their most decisive cards so far, with Edu Garcia being one of them. And he nearly pulls off an excellent headed goal through a cross from Hernandez. However, however, Arshdeep is as safe here with the ball as he has been throughout the course of the game as he calmly collects the ball and looks to start off a move for Odisha somehow. 85' Corner here, corner there, none of the teams managing to corner each other anywhere though! This match is now just reduced to numerous amount of half-chances, some mediocre individual performances and the energy levels seems to be dropping of critical players like Jerry and Nanda Kumar, who have proved out to be rather inept in the second essay of the game so far. Only an exhilarating individual move might help either of the sides as we enter the fag end of the game now. 81' Edu Garcia has been at the forefront of the moves so far as his brilliant footwork at first allows ATK to conclusively move ahead. His team earns a corner in the process and he is in-charge of that duty as well as the cross from the corner flag comes in astoundingly well but Jobby Justin fails to do just about enough to put the ball at the back of the net. By the current flow of the game though, ATK still look the most likely to take away three points from here. 77' ATK might be looking to compress their attacking moves a bit more centrally and outnumber the Odisha's defenders in the middle of the box. Hence, we have seen a substitution here as Edu Garcia has made his way into the field in place of David Williams whose crosses were impressive from the left flank. Garcia's arrival could turn out to be decisive as he has bagged three goals in three games before this one. 74' END TO END..UNTIL THE END! Yeah, that's what it looks like this game would turn out to be eventually. Aridane's header did not trouble the custodian much but ATK's Hernandez did well to come out of the shackles of three players who tried to hound him off the ball. The long ball ahead was supposed to be met by Roy Krishna but Arshdeep demonstrates his talent brilliantly as he raced ahead of his box to head the ball beyond the touchline. His all-round skills already justify the praise that Gombau heaped upon him! 72' JAYESH RANEE!! Ah man..why don't they ever convert these into goals?  Rane has drifted inwards in this half and he capitalized onto the space in front of him with some incredible dribbling as he beat his markers without any fuss but a late challenge ensured that his final shot, the killer blow did not possess enough zip behind it to trouble the keeper and hence a promising move comes to an underwhelming end. 69' ATK adopting the direct route here, and are seeming to be more threatening for the time being! A long ball from the back finds a plethora of ATK players including Roy Krishna inside the box but unlike what they have been doing in the midfield, Odisha do well here to hound up the few ATK players present inside the box and desert them off the space that could allow them to glide the ball into the net in some way or the other. Regardless of that, ATK's attacking moves have more incisiveness and purpose behind them now. 65' Both teams are loosening up a bit here as they are looking to be more on the attacking front. Martin Perez's corner fails to yield anything notable but Narayan Das lobs up the ball into the box in search of someone poaching away a goal through the same. For ATK too, with the introduction of Justin on the field, they have found another target-man along with the front duo of Williams and Roy, and hence one can witness more end-to-end action in the next half hour or so. 61' One of the patterns that one can observe in this match so far is both the teams haven't really been keen on closing down the midfielders as they approach ahead with the ball near the box to take a long shot. Here too, Hernandez found himself with plenty of blades of grass to relax upon but yet his shot misses the target by a bit and ATK earn a corner through which Arshdeep clears the shot by a goal-line clearance. The header was from Jobby Justin, who has built a reputation of being a potent goal-scorer in the last year or so. 58' Jerry and Tebar have been looking to indulge in some quick layoffs in order to develop an offensive move from the right flank. One can see even Aridane, who prefers to play centrally on most of the occasions, he is trying to drift a bit wider, drag the defenders along with him and open up some space for his central defenders to pounce upon a lateral pass in and the near the penalty box. 53' David takes a corner for ATK but Arshdeep, who has been fantastic so far in this match does well to punch the ball away. Odisha make a quick transition and look to release Jerry ahead with acres of space in front of him but Sumit Rathi acts smart, commits a tactical foul and is somehow, someway the move is deemed perfectly legitimate by the referee. Oh come on! 50' Balewadi is the smallest stadium in the ISL and it shows, as the stands look completely empty except for the few school children about whom we had informed earlier. Kotal has taken up Anas' position in the defensive line whereas Rathi has moved ahead to the wing-back's slot. Jerry tried a cross that went absolutely wayward whereas he had a chance to square up a pass for Aridane here and he missed the ball despite being put under no pressure whatsoever by any of the ATK defenders. 47' Meanwhile, Sumit Rathi has been brought in as a substitute in place of Anas who was already shown a yellow card early in the first half. Sarangi shows a nice piece of skill as he runs ahead with the ball, passes it on for Guedes who carries on the move for Nanda but the passing string doesn't continue furthermore as ATK have looked to press higher up and with more intensity so far in this half. Back again, here we go. ATK kick off the proceedings, as I bring on the second half's action to you here. Here's hoping for a fascinating half of football! HALFTIME REPORT:  Ah, that was a half of some good football, without the end result though. Odisha started off the game on the positive note, looking well confident to attack through the right wing and Jerry being the one initiating those moves most of the times. But, ATK have grown into the game well enough as the duo of Roy-Williams have combined together along with the likes of Jayesh Rane and Hernandez to coerce some momentum against Josep Gombau's team. An interesting tactical battle awaits us in the second half. Grab your coffee, or the dinner in the meanwhile as we join back within a few minutes from now. 45' Jerry's cross from the right flank just doesn't gauge well in terms of the weight behind it and Bhattacharya, ATK's goalkeeper takes a goal-kick that is well-received by Hernandez in the half space near the right flank. He is brought down in the run, and the referee quickly gives away a foul but the free-kick taken through it doesn't amount to anything credible as both teams now look to go back to the dressing room sans a goal to their name. 42' Prabir Das is at the centre of all the proceedings here as he plays in a good ball for Jayesh Rane, who takes on with the ball and releases a good pass for David Williams. The latter puts in a cross but Roy is unable to get at the end of it as Prabir recovers the ball higher up on the flank yet again and ATK look to build more pressure upon Gombau's team. They have tilted the momentum in their favor now. 39' ATK LOOK TO BE MOUNTING PRESSURE AGAIN! AND WHO ELSE TO DO SO IF NOT FOR THEIR TOP STRIKER DUO.  Odisha have been providing ATK a lot of space in the backline and David Williams is smart enough to grab that opportunity as he puts in a brilliant cross from the left flank for Roy Krishna whose diving legs could not help the ball find a way past Arshdeep. You give this ATK side a chance, they will make you regret it for the next of the half! 36'  WAS THAT A PENALTY? WAS IT NOT? GOMBAU LOOKS STUNNED.  Sarangi moves up ahead with the ball, but he is brought down with a challenge by Soosairaj from the back. It looked like a penalty during real time action, and it looks like a penalty even in the replays. Gombau clearly is left unimpressed by the referee was adamant to not concede a spot-kick here. Quick and light players like Sarangi are often subjected to such fouls and a consideration should have been made here, in my opinion. 32' Jayesh Rane finds abundant amount of pace down the left wing and given the brilliant pace that he boasts of, Rane leaps ahead with the ball following his lead whilst Diawandou Diagne, in his trademark no-nonsense style commits to a tackle and robs off Rane from the possession. A minute or two later, Habas is seen protesting as ATK are denied a foul in the build-up to one of the moves. 29' Odisha move ahead, swiftly from the right flank to the left and Nanda Kumar puts in a powerful cross that is dealt by the ATK backline well enough. Arshdeep, on the other hand, has left his goalpost by a distance of almost 20-25 yards to keep the play on. It made up for an entertaining sight and reminded me of the time when Gombau addressed us in the presser in Mumbai and said that both of his premier goalkeepers are really efficient with the ball at their feet! 26' AHH WHAT IS HAPPENING OVER HERE?  Jerry has been a menace for ATK to handle so far as he receives a pass from Diagne and combines ahead with Guedes to notch a goal for his team. Hernandez from ATK is quick to recover the ball, lays it off and so wonderfully glides diagonally across from the touchline to speed up towards the box and is felled down by Arshdeep as ATK fail to score their first goal by a just a light margin. Calls for a penalty from ATK, rightly so, but the request is denied by the referee. 23' Hernandez had move up higher in the right flank to put in a cross but he earned a free-kick in that process. His mastery over the dead ball means that the delivery in intact, right where it was supposed to land but the players approaching with their heads sticking out to sniff away a goal miss to do so by a whisker, just. ATK nevertheless look vulnerable at the back currently, and Gombau must be slyly looking forward for a goal for his side now. 20' Tebar looks to gain some control before passing it sideways to Guedes who was awaiting a small, lateral pass. However, David Williams crosses into Tebar's pass and clearly hands away the ball as his forearm is hanging away from his body. The referee deems it to be unintentionally, and calls for the play to be on whilst the players of Odisha ask for a foul to be given in their favor. 17' OOH JERRY OOH LALA!!! That was some crazy bit of skill here by Jerry. If I were to say, Anant Tyagi even called it a bit Messi-esque on commentary. That's some compliment. But that was some ethereal skill too, as Jerry looked to take on the defender, then he pushes the ball back to the other feet and in succession puts it back to his right one before gliding it across the approaching defender and tries to take a shot, a rather weak one though, straight to the keeper. That could have been one excellent goal. Gombau jumps in excitement at the touchline. 14' Ohh, that was some rough play by Anas. Shubham Sarangi looks to put in a cross by getting closer to the ball but Anas literally bangs onto the young kid and Sarangi falls down, a bit awkwardly. He is good to recover and involve again into the proceedings. Odisha earn a free-kick, that amounts to nothing eventually but the corner that came through it results into a strong header by Nanda Kumar...the ball sways away from the target though. 12' Hernandez shows some good intent and close control as he carries the ball ahead with him near Odisha's defensive box. Carlos Delgado hounds up Hernandez, recovers the ball, but Roy Krishna is quick to snatch it away from him as he looks for a squared pass into the box but is felled as the calls for a foul are dismissed away by the referee. 9' Roy Krishna drops deep back into the half in order to ensure that his side gains some control over the ball. Accordingly, he links up with Soosiraj and it requires only one slick pass for the latter to attain the possession near the opposition's box. ATK earn their first corner of the game in the same process but that fails to yield any notable result as such. 6' Marcos Tebar looks to set up a pass for Jerry on the right flank but is unable to do so but Odisha are quite assertive with the possession as they switch flanks and look to pass the ball up ahead yet again. However, Guedes' long ball ahead does not have the right amount of weight behind it and hence Odisha's move falls apart courtesy to this attempt by their midfielder. 4' ARIDANE TAKES THE SHOT!! Odisha have been quite convincing so far and Nandha Kumar tries to charge up ahead from the left flank as he finds plenty of space there. Narayan Das races ahead to link up with him from where he lays off the ball slyly for Aridane, who anticipates the free space afforded to him and takes a threatening looking shot which unfortunately flies over the goalpost. 1' Odisha start of the proceedings in haste and Anas takes a throw-in to McGugh who tries to move the ball ahead through a ball from the flank but the the home side (yeah) recover the possession and look to build the play up patiently from there on. And they look to be quite good at keeping hold of the ball, while we are at it. KICK OFF!! 7:25 PM: Time for the national anthem and the camera shifts towards the numerous school students in the stands. Unsurprisingly. On the other hand, the players from both the teams have lined up and the match would get underway very soon. This is going to be one interesting game. Gombau's team has shown the potential. Now is their opportunity to show that they can turn up in style against possibly the best team in the league. 7:20 PM: We can see a lot of school students, decked up in their uniforms, attending the match. Possibly they have gotten the student complementary passes. Some say that's the only way you can sell tickets in Pune. Well..who knows? 7:15 PM: However, it remains to be seen how welcoming the football fans from Pune are to Odisha FC. Ironically, Odisha have also changed bases this season, switching away from Delhi and hence the short notice of such a rejig meant that they had to make do with this temporary adjustment. Imagine what would have happened if they went back to Delhi for some of their home games, eh!? 7:10 PM: Well, Odisha have had to adopt Pune's Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex as their adopted home for the time being. The stadium in Odisha isn't perfectly well-equipped yet to host ISL matches and hence Josep Gombau's team would have to adjust with playing in Pune for a few matches now. Regardless of that, it might be a bittersweet moment for the Puneri fans who have been deserted of their beloved Pune City FC this season. 7:05 PM: For the uninitiated, ATK has been in some stellar form with three victories from four matches and are sitting atop the points table currently. Odisha FC have won once, lost twice, and have drawn the other game out of their four games. They are in the sixth position as of now and their only victory was against Mumbai City FC, in an encounter where they hammered Jorge Costa's side by a margin of 4-2. 6:45 PM: THE LINEUPS ARE HERE! Odisha FC: Arshdeep (GK) , Shubham, Diagne, Delgado, Narayan, Tebar, Martin, Jerry, Daniel, Nandha, Aridane Bora, Bikramjit, Xisco, Dorronsoro, Romeo, Gharani, Manchong ATK: Bhattacharya (GK) , Kotal, Hernandez, Anas, Das, Rane, Agus, McHugh, Soosiraj, Roy, Williams  Dheeraj, Rathi, Edu Garcia, Balwant, Jobby, Sehnaj, Ankit

Josep Gombau thanks Pune for letting them play their home matches

With regards to playing his first three home matches in Pune instead of Bhubaneswar, the Spaniard stated, “We are happy to be here. Thanks to the people of Pune who helped us to come here and to play in this field. I think that we are in a good place and we have to play three games in two weeks here. I hope that we have people come to the stadium to see our games. I hope that the people of Pune take this opportunity to see the Hero ISL games, and I hope they enjoy.” Antonio Habas insists that their tactics do not depend upon their opposition The 62-year-old also made it clear that his team will not change their tactics according to the opponent and instead will stick to their way of playing football. “We have a style of football. We are not going to change that for every other opponent. Our philosophy is you respect the opponent and play the 90 minutes,” he explained. “We always focus on the next three points. You can’t win every match. In fact, we focus from match to match. We have to run and not jump,” Antonio Habas stated.
