The inaugural season of Premier Futsal will get underway tomorrow in Chennai and an array of legendary futsallers and great footballers have landed in the country in preparation for the mega event. Among them is Brazilian ace Ronaldinho who will dawn those magical boots again as he seeks to turn back the years and revive the Samba magic for football mad Goa. “It feels wonderful to be back in India amongst such a passionate and kind audience,” proclaimed a visibly excited Ronaldinho at the pre-tournament press conference. The forward said he was looking forward to returning to his roots in Futsal and retracing a journey to greatness that began decades ago. Reflecting on this unique opportunity the frontman said, “ I am delighted to back in a playing capacity this time and I would like to thank Premier Futsal for bringing back my memories from childhood of playing Futsal back home.” The prolific forward is sure to get the pulse racing having accomplished almost everything in his glittering career. Ronaldinho won Serie A with AC Milan as well as La Liga and the UEFA Champions League with Spanish giants Barcelona. He also won the Copa America and the FIFA World Cup with his country Brazil. Ronaldinho was also awarded the Ballon d’Or in 2005.Latest News
