The former Ligue 1 champions currently sit at the seventh position in the league table.

AS Monaco have parted ways with Portuguese manager Leonardo Jardim and have appointed former Spanish National team coach Roberto Moreno as his replacement. Leonardo Jardim, who was in his second term at the club, has now been shown the door twice in two seasons. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Leonardo Jardim won the Ligue 1 and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League with AS Monaco in the 2016-17 campaign. The victory was followed by a series of transfers with plenty of clubs swooping in on the performers which led to a long run of poor results and Leonardo Jardim was sacked in October 2018. Thierry Henry was chosen to replace Jardim and took charge of the club while struggling at the 19th position in the league. Henry’s attempt at a managerial career at Monaco came to an end within just three months after he managed to win just 4 games out of 20 in charge and was axed in January 2019, only for Leonardo Jardim to be brought back to the club. Following his re-appointment, the club’s vice-president Vadim Vasilyev termed Jardim’s sacking as “premature." The Portuguese managed to avoid relegation in the 2018-19 season and finished 17th. AS Monaco made plenty of signings at the start of the season and also landed in star striker Wissam Ben Yedder who is the league's top scorer with 13 goals. AS Monaco are knocked out of the French League Cup and are currently seventh on the table, just three points short off the fourth spot. Despite the change in air and results at AS Monaco, the club directors have shown him the door once again.
