Mohun Bagan desperate to get back to winning ways against Tollygunge Agragami

Mohun Bagan is slated to face Tollygunge Agragami in an all important CFL clash tomorrow at their home ground from 5:30 pm..

The Green and Maroon brigade is desperate to get back to winning ways after they lost crucial 2 points to Peerless SC in their last match. To gain three points from this match Bagan coach Shankarlal Chakraborty has decided to make few changes in the first XI from the last game. Daniel Bidemi, who had debuted in Bagan jersey in the last match will partner Scottish striker Darryl Duffy in the forward line while youngster Azharuddin Mallick is slated to start on the right flank and Prabir Das moving on the left. Today in the last training session ahead of the match, Bagan coach gave more stress on situation practice as the team kept on pushing for corners and free-kicks. With this it is clear that Shankarlal is desperate to get an early goal into the match and put pressure on Tollygunge from the opening minutes of the match. Ahead of the match, Sharkarlal said, "I am desperate for a win and I don't bother how it comes. That's why I have given more stress on situation practice today." When asked about his aim in the next 5 matches including the derby as they are behind 2 points from table-toppers East Bengal, Shankarlal replied, "I had set my target which I will not disclose to the media. I have asked my boys to count on match be match and not pressurise themselves thinking of a long target. Targets should be short and simple." On the other hand, Tollygunge Agaragami are considered as a formiddable side of the CFL with few experienced bunch of foreigners and Indian players in their ranks. Tollygunge coach Ranjan Chaudhuri is banking on his three foreigners Kareem Omoloja Nurain in the defense while Joel Sunday and Alfred Jaryan upfront who have the experience of playing the I-League and it is expected to be a huge boost for Tolly brigade. In the likes of Indian players R.Vashum, Kunzang Bhutia, Ram Malik, Suraj Mondal are experienced customers in the side. Tolly coach Ranjan Chaudhuri said, "We want to win to stay in the hunt as a loss we will push us back to relegation fight and the same way I have asked my boys to give their best and not to indulge any pressure on them. If we cannot win a draw will do for us but we do not want to lose."
