Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang responds on twitter against BVB's CEO Watzke
The Gabon striker joined the Premier League club in January 2018.
In a recent turn of events, Borussia Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke took a massive jive at his club’s former player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, in a recent interview with Sudeeutsche Zeitung. Watzke tried to hint that Aubameyang left Dortmund in search of more money and decided to sacrifice the opportunity to play in the UEFA Champions League for the same.
He said, “Of course it is hard to keep a player in the face of such sums. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who plays great at Arsenal, will probably be warm-hearted when he looks at his bank account, but on Wednesdays, will be saddened when he has to watch the Champions League on television.”
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]It could be termed as a totally unnecessary statement from Watze’s behalf. Firstly, badmouthing a former prominent player of one’s club never gauges well with the fans neither with the footballer. Secondly, it also highlights the fact that there is still some sourness with respect to Aubameyang, though it has been almost 21 months ever since the Gabonese left Germany for his new venture.
Fairly enough, the striker didn’t hold back from expressing his displeasure at Watzke’s statements either. In the process, he also spilled out an anecdote regarding Ousmane Dembele as well.

It read: “Better for you I never talk about why I really left Dortmund Mr Watzke you such a clown. I remember that time you said we never gonna sell Ousmane then you saw more than 100M you were the first to take that money. Don’t talk about money please!!! Leave me alone pls (please).”
The 30-year-old has notched instant success with Arsenal, despite the fact that there has been little improvement in the club’s overall performance in the league. However, on a personal level, Aubameyang has been a potent goal-scorer, having formed a coherent partnership with Alexendre Lacazette.
In 56 Premier League matches so far, Aubameyang has bagged an impressive 39 goals. He has also played an assist to seven other goals, and has regularly terrorized the opposition’s backline with his versatility, immense skills and efficiency in front of the goal.

He scored 85 goals in the Bundesliga during his time with BVB and enhanced his stature as one of the topmost strikers in Europe. His rivalry with Robert Lewandowski in the league was pretty well-known with both of them constantly getting one over the other week after week.
