The Red dropped two crucial points in the Premier League title race.

Jurgen Klopp adamantly rebutted the suggestion of not exploring all his attacking options as Liverpool succumbed to a goalless draw against Everton in the Merseyside derby. The Liverpool boss angrily claimed, "it’s not like PlayStation".

The Red dropped two crucial points in the Premier League title race which now allows Pep Guardiola's Manchester city to leapfrog them to the first position leading by a single point. The reigning champions are now in pole position to retain the Premier League this season again as only nine games are remaining in the Premier League.

Looking at the deadlock, the German tactician brought on attack-minded players like Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana and also substituted in the highly experienced James Milner in the second half. However Klopp was asked if he made a mistake by not bringing in all three attackers and the German tactician was clearly not pleased with the question.

“Do you think we didn’t take enough risks today? That’s a really disappointing question – do you think it’s PlayStation? Bring an extra attacker, and everything change? Football is not like that. We don’t lose our nerve,” he said.

Klopp also said there is no need for an urgency message to his players “We are not little boys any more. I believe 100% in our chances,” he said before joking about whether the tables are going to turn again the in the title race. “At least one,” the manager said.

“But we have Burnley [next] so how can I say about what will happen – that would be disrespectful. I already know what the pundits will say in the studio – situations like today you have to finish it off.

Klopp feels fine to chase Manchester city who were looking at the league top spot since March. The Citizens also had innumerable chances against Bournemouth and could only score one coming from Riyad Mahrez. Klopp feels his team must be ready to capitalize on these changes.

“We do not think about City when they are a point behind us, now we are behind them but not too far. They have to win, we have to win and let’s see who wins more at the end.”

Klopp joked off the incident he had with a ballboy who mocked him with applause at the end of the game and also pointed out at the weather not suiting to his liking and having an effect in the match. “The wind does not help and there was a lot today,” he said.

He feels that winning the second balls were very important against a tough opponent on a tough match but the wind came from all over the place and from all directions hindering the contest.

Klopp feels positive about the fact that the derbies against Manchester United and Everton are over and the Red play other teams now. He wants his players to take the positives from the game that though it wasn't their best game they at least got a point from the fixture against highly motivated opponents.

“We have to take the situation as it is. We talk about a free-flowing Liverpool side the other day and now we have Burnley at Anfield. Only 400 yards away from here but a completely different game. We have to show stability and fight for the result.”

Liverpool next faces Burnley in the Premier League at home before travelling to the Allianz Arena for the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich.
