Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge closing in on move to Turkey
The former England international has also been linked with a move to clubs in Germany and Italy.
Daniel Sturridge is a free agent after having seen his contracted with Liverpool completed. The Reds decided to not extend with the 29-year-old striker who was once the apple of Liverpool fans' eyes.
The English forward has been reportedly gaining interest from some of the big clubs of European football. Sturridge could well end up in Germany, Italy or even Turkey if reports are to be believed.
The 29-year-old English international joined Liverpool from Chelsea in the January transfer window of 2013. Since joining the Reds, Sturridge has gone to score 67 goals in 160 appearances for the side.
Sturridge featured 18 times for the Reds last season in the Premier League but has failed to find the back of the nets since last September. The striker has been now eligible to play after serving two weeks of a six-week ban.
The ban was imposed for breaching the FA's gambling regulations. The remaining four weeks have been postponed until August 31, 2020, making him available for selection. The player would be eligible for selection only after he promises to not breach any further FA's regulations in the near future.
Thus the player has been reportedly in contact with various clubs for signing a deal to make a move. Sky Sports in Germany has reported him close to joining Eintracht Frankfurt after the Bundesliga club sold Sebastian Haller and Luka Jovic.

Now the Sky reports him to be in talks with Turkish sides Trabzonspor and Besiktas to move the 29-year-old to a team that can provide regular playing time to him.
