The Red Devils have just registered two wins from eight games in the Premier League so far.

Manchester United have hit a new low since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013 as the club sit at the 12th position on the Premier League table after eight gameweeks. The Red Devils lost their third game in the league against Newcastle United. And now, the star shot-stopper David de Gea has said that this is 'probably the worst time' the Spaniard has witnessed at the club.

United suffered their first loss of the season to a 10-man Crystal Palace which was then followed by losses to West Ham United and Newcastle United. All in all, they have conceded eight goals in the Premier League itself.

Talking to Sky after the game on Sunday, David de Gea said, "Everything. I think a lot of things need to improve. They(Newcastle) were the better team."

"I don't know what to say, really. Just keep trying, keep fighting, keep improving every day. It's a hard moment for us, a difficult moment, but we are United and we need to keep fighting."

On being asked if it is the worst period for the player since joining United in 2011, he said, "Yeah. Probably the worst time, most difficult time, since I've been here. I don't know. I don't know what is happening. Come on, we cannot score even one goal in two games. Sorry to the fans."

"We will keep fighting for sure, we will come back, but at the moment we are in a difficult situation. It's a hard moment for us. The most difficult time since I've been here. I don't know why or what is happening."

"The team needs to step up. We have some big injuries but that's no excuse. We are Manchester United, we need to keep training hard, fighting and winning games."
