Sandesh Jhingan: I'm on the next stage of my comeback
The star defender took to social media after undergoing a successful surgery.
Indian football team and Kerala Blasters defender Sandesh Jhingan has undergone a successful surgery in Mumbai. Jhingan had suffered an ACL injury during a friendly game last month, which saw him ruled out for six months.
Following the injury, the 26-year-old had vowed to come back stronger showing optimism on his return. "I am very passionate and motivated to get back on the field. I will be back soon and start serving my club and country again," Jhingan had said.

Sandesh Jhingan always looked confident about the surgery and much to the relief of the fans, he is recovering at a good pace. "I believe whatever happens, happens for good. I am a firm believer in that," were his words before the surgery.
"I want to thank the doctors along with the staff for taking good care of me," he said post the operation.

Moreover, they have also conceded four goals. The Blasters have signed veteran defender Raju Gaikwad as a replacement for Sandesh Jhingan. However, statistics clearly state how it will be hard for the team to cope up in the absence of their skipper.
Despite a successful surgery, Jhingan will take time for his rehabilitation. After all, gruesome injuries such as an ACL, require more time for recovery. Yet, the Manjappada fans will be hoping for Sandesh Jhingan to make a speedy return.
