The 26-year-old has four years remaining on his current contract.

After losing the race to sign Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal, Napoli has set their eyes on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha to bring him at the San Paolo Stadium for the upcoming season. Few days earlier, Wilfried Zaha informed his club that he wants to leave this summer and will be looking for greener pastures, preferably at one of the European giants.

However, Zaha has four years remaining in his current contract and the club wouldn’t  want to sell him for cheap. Zaha scored 10 goals in 34 Premier League appearence for Crystal Palace last season. While Arsenal had their £40m bid rejected earlier this season, Everton too was trying to swoop the Ivory Coast International only to find out their bid were rejected by the south Londoners.

The temptation of immediately playing Champions League football under a succesfull manager like Ancelotti could be too appealing to turn down for the 26-years-old.

Napoli finished second in Serie A last season and have already spent over £80m on transfers this summer, intending to challenge Juventus in the upcoming season for the coveted Serie A title.

The club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is trying to get appropiate names for manager Carlo Ancelotti, as he sanctioned an audacious £32m raid on rivals Roma for star centre-back Kostas Manolas earlier. While goalkeeper Alex Meret made his loan move from Udinese permanent for £20m, midfield prodigy Eljif Elmas arrived from Fenerbahce in the region of £15m.

Napoli has acquired half of those fees back through the sale of Amadou Diawara, Carlos Vinicius and Raul Albiol to Roma Benfica and Villareal respectively.

Napoli has also set their eyes on the controversial Argentine striker and former Inter Milan Captain Mauro Icardi who has been told to find a new club for himself by his current employers.
