The 34 year-old revealed his aspirations to win more silverware for Juventus in the coming years.

In a news relieving the football fans across the world, Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed any talks of his retirement plans. Despite his age, the 34 year-old has stated that there's still a lot for him on the pitch to give and has aspirations to win lots of silverware at the Italian club.

"Age is just a number. It does not mean that at 34, 35, 36 you are at the end of your career," said Ronaldo in a recent news conference.

Considered as one of the greatest players in the world since the past decade, Ronaldo has had quite an illustrious career. Starting from Sporting Lisbon, his talent was spotted by the then manager of Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson and eventually bringing him to England.

At Old Trafford, Ronaldo gained a lot of recognition from the footballing fraternity and was considered as one of the best in the world at a very young age. In 2009, Spanish giant Real Madrid came calling for the winger and it turned out to be a highly successful venture for both.

In his nine seasons at the capital club, Cristiano Ronaldo led them to several major titles including the domestic league, UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup all multiple times. At the same time, he also led Portugal to a historic victory in the UEFA European Championship in 2016.

Finally in 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Italian champions Juventus where he recently scored a landmark 700th goal of his career.

And despite winning lots of individual accolades including the coveted Ballon d'Or five times, Ronaldo insists that a treble with his current club would be a much bigger achievement for him.

"The most important is the collective awards. If you win the collective awards you have more chance to win the individual awards. The Golden Ball is for me in second place," he quoted as per a report in Sony ESPN.

Further, speaking about his retirement plans, he said:  "I can show with my performances, how I play, the way I play, the way I still feel good, sharp, thinking about the game, more mature. This makes the difference."

"To win games, to score goals, to enjoy myself, to arrive home and see my kids happy and say, `Congratulations daddy for scoring a goal.' That makes me happy."

"This is my motivation to come to train, for the games, to entertain people and the fans with my passion," he added at the end.
