Harry Maguire shuns clubs’ interest ahead of Nations League final
Downplaying interest from the teams, Maguire’s focus is on playing in the Nations League.
The Leicester City centre back has been widely sought after by Manchester City and Manchester United. City is currently on the lookout for a replacement for Vincent Kompany who has confirmed to leave the club this year and Harry Maguire seems to fit all the boxes for the Premier League champions.
On the other hand, United have had a prolonged interest in the 26-year old since last season. He was caught on the radar of the Old Trafford under the reigns of former manager Jose Mourinho. Currently, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also on the hunt for poaching him to bolster the shambolic defense.
The Englishman was a clear favourite of the crowd in the 2018 FIFA World Cup when the England side proved their mettle by reaching up to the semi-finals. He was very clear when he told that his top priority at the moment is to play football for England and he wouldn’t let his mind lose its focus over club football and transfer rumours ahead of the national call up.
