The Stallions were outplayed for most of the game but nicked a later winner...
FC Pune City beat FC Goa 2-1 courtesy of a late strike in front of a 19,000-strong crowd at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Saturday evening. The Stallions took the lead in the 25th minute through Arata Izumi before Rafael Coelho equalised for the Gaurs before half-time to make it level-pegging at the break. Super-sub Momar Ndoye proved to be the difference by coming off the bench and scoring in the last minute of regulation time to secure his side’s first win of Hero Indian Super League 2016. The hosts started brighter of the two sides and earned a free-kick in the sixth minute after Joffre was brought down on the edge of Pune’s penalty area.
