The Football Link Trust has organized a live screening of tomorrow’s Premier League game between London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea. The screening will be held at FZone, Green, Avenue, in Vasunt Kunj, New Delhi and will begin at 8pm tomorrow. Participants can enjoy the blockbuster game on a big screen with unlimited beverages and barbeque for INR 1000 per person. All proceeds will go to charity. As part of their mission to support India’s long term quest for a spot at the FIFA World Cup TFL have created the Football Link Trust Scholarship Fund that will financially support young, talented football players from low-income families to realize their ambitions of becoming professional footballers.The Football Link Trust Scholarship Fund will support young footballer to achieve their dreams.
As part of the TFL Scholarship Fund football camps will be conducted in 50 schools, NGOs and orphanages across New Delhi (Phase–1: Aug '16 to Dec'16) to scout for talent to identify 200 boys and 200 girls who will be given yearly scholarships at the TFL Centre of Excellence. The scholarship will pay for football coaching, F-Cube Assessment, Mentorship sessions, football kits, nutrition packages and medical check-ups, fitness training, transportation, tournament registrations, trials at renowned national and international football clubs amongst other things.
FZone is a one-stop destination for one’s sporting needs. Set up over 21,000 sq.ft, the FZone Arena is India's first technology based training arena of sporting excellence, with world-class turf grounds, sun-shade nets, floodlights and the proprietary football technology, the F-Cube.
Speaking about the TFL Scholarship iniative Chetan Mishra, founder, The Football Link said ,"Every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate. For a country of close to 2 billion people, our untapped talent lies amongst those children who have the least resources. The more children we can access and support with resources and play, the brighter the country's future will be."
The Football Link Trust has been working in the sports for development sector for the past three years and has accessed and given support to over 10,000 young boy and girl footballers through various initiatives including football coaching, camps and so on.
Participants can take part in several games and contests at the event with exciting prizes up for grabs. They can also mingle with stars from Indian Super League outfit Delhi Dynamos who will be in attendance.
