The skipper and the boss both admitted the Three Lions lacklustre performance at the Sinobo Stadium.
In a shocking result for Harry Kane and Co., England suffered a painful 2-1 defeat against the Czech Republic in the 2020 Euro Qualifiers.
Skipper Kane had given a lead to the Three Lions within the first five minutes through a penalty, but Jakub Brabec equalised for the hosts moments later. Despite the likes of Raheem Sterling and young prodigies Mason Mount and Jadon Sancho in the starting XI, the visitors couldn’t get past the Czech Republic defence as the scoreline remained until very late in the game.

Although the Three Lions lead their group at the moment, losing to Czech Republic is altogether a new low for the team who aims for European glory next year.
“I think it was down to us,” said a disappointed Harry Kane, “It was a perfect start to an away game.”
“We were sloppy with the ball, we didn't move it as quickly as we normally do,” he added, according to a report from Express.
On the other hand, England boss Gareth Southgate to criticised the team’s display on the night. “The performance was not good enough, simple as that,” he told ITV Sport after the game.

The Three Lions next travel to Bulgaria on 15th October as they look to establish a comfortable three point lead over Czech Republic in the Group A table.
