After defeating the hosts boss Steve Coppell was a happy man and expressed his happiness by saying “Any kind of win pleases me. The league is very tight and there is not much to choose between the teams. We are very grateful to get the three points.” Along with the Kerala Blasters head coach, defender Cedric Hengbart was also present at the post-match media interaction and said that they were expecting a tough game from the home side. “It was very difficult. Goa is great going forward. But we kept our focus,” Hengbart said. Coppell also praised Mohammed Rafi for scoring the equalizer in the very first minute of the second half as it gave a great lift to the team. “Rafi does what Rafi does and he is always there. That gave us great motivation to go on to win the match,” said the English coach in an admiring tone. Kerala Blasters have played 6 matches and collected 8 points in the league so far. They will be facing Chennaiyin FC in their next match in Chennai. “Now we go onto play against Chennaiyin FC and we get a chance to test ourselves against the best,” Coppell concluded.
