Minerva Punjab FC continue their maiden journey in the I-League as they travel to the northeast to take on Aizawl FC.

The Chandigarh outfit managed a good draw away to fellow newcomers Chennai City on Sunday and are keen to build on the momentum of that positive result.

Head coach of Minerva Punjab FC Surinder Singh also expressed his desires to churn out three valuable points tomorrow.

“We will try to win the maximum points tomorrow.”

He also spoke about his boys who are relatively young and inexperienced and insisted that they have potential and that the club is giving the youngsters a platform to expose their skills, “We are giving them the chance to show their potential.” He also added that Syrian international Mahmoud Al Amnah might be making his debut tomorrow.

Simranjeet Singh also appeared hopeful for a win and stated, “We are used to playing on natural grass but the artificial turf at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium will not prove to be too much of a hindrance.”
